Are brawlers dead or not?

I've been blank on what has been going on with brawlers. So are they dead or they just struggling by?

Brawlers are just now "Fu builds". Anyone that uses brawler skills in their hybrids are just in denial.

There is no such thing as a staff / sword / whatever fu. They are just brawlers, and too embarrassed to admit it.

Nah, they use Impact, so they're actually mages, not brawlers. All those non-bg/bow builds using Quick Draw aren't actually swordsmen or mages. They're all archers/rangers in disguise. While we're at it, a ton of people use impact in their builds. I guess they're all mages. All those "dagger mages" you see around aren't actually mages. They're all Ezio Auditore. Tbh, a bunch of people use mp charge at some point in their builds. So many mages in toram >_<
This could go on forever, but who cares

Only people that dunno the true power of pure AGI and just look for high numbers as damage would say stuff like "brawlers are dead".
Dodge in general is underrated as people think evasion% is better when actually that only applies to classes that dont have AGI as main stat.
After 900+ FLEE dodge will finally show its true potential which isnt that difficult to reach on a pure AGI char.
No amount of resistance or hp can save a char from fractional attacks but this guy made it possible by 1k dodge.
If you had fought chocolate ooze during the event you would know about its deadly fractional purple waves.

they just not as self-centered and prideful as certain other players, that's why you don't hear much of them.
instead of loudly bragging around, they train their skills in secret.

 

I would like to bring a point over. brawlers, unlike many other classes, have a lot of potential hidden behind those low numbers. tell me, which other classes can actually properly solo without burning through a lot of revitas in one round.which other classes can also achieve this? Dual wield and shield mages. both of these have their flaws. Dual wield is locked in position while using autos, which is not long, but can be a real problem if mistimed.I found my own check for this. in return to this 'disadvantage' we get amazing AMPR, which people like cypherian and Szchev have utilised to it's fullest
ok, so on to the other one-
shield mages who use VIT as their second stat, but they require bless to pull off their job ideally. also they rely on their natural tankiness to ensure they stay alive.
this leaves you heavily reliant on gears.
If you notice, these classes are not top tier DPS. well, if the tank dies, in say a nightmare jade run or something, who is the one who prevents a failed run? the semi-tanks, like I prefer to call them.
These classes avoid specialising intentionally to fill in gaps in the team. we settle for no ranks most of the time, for the best interests of the team in mind. and this is what we get? threads and players mocking us for the low numbers.let me tell you, I got the DPS rank from a 2h, staff fu and mage, all about double my level(with a dw). how? they couldn't take the attacks, simple.
This all goes to one thing- brawlers are not struggling because the class is bad, far from it. they are struggling because ignorant and and jealous players telling newbies and potential brawlers that the class are worthless, and there is nobody like cypherian or D.song to show them how good it actually is.
If soloing is not your cup of tea, if you want to be that guy who hits a million as soon as it's possible, go ahead! just don't criticise classes without that interest.
oh and by the way, if you still feel semi-tanks are a dead class, don't go around spreading your opinion. how some people make it so toxic in the game without even trying a brawlers makes me sick

 

Brawlers started with low damage and was invigorated by the shellbreak and heavysmash skills adjustment. We were doing dps since up to the point when ecb 1st came.

Then more skills adjustment came, followed by blade skills adjustment plus the new halberd class, pushing us back again.

We're still here. If not grinding bosses, we are probably testing our combo on minis, patiently waiting for our time to come once again.

*Guys, I ain't sad when I wrote this, so please don't keep labeling it as sad. What I really meant was, we are resilient and can be able to adjust with the ever changing rules~^_^

 

after that bloody slippery aranea and zolban update, bexis somewhat freindly for brawler heheheh lets dominate bexis map with brawler bruh just like ECB time :v

 

I didn't noticed that, I just fought him a couple of time when he first came, hoping for a stylish knux.

Zolban is the true worthy opponent, before they nerfed him. ^_^

my duo partner is brawler and its very suitable partner even they not get rank as attacker but they help us to get max dps
brawler still exist and they all good

 

knuckle-shield is a very good tanker
so, i don't think brawlers are going to go extinct anytime soon
( tbh i don't even think, brawlers are ever going to go extinct )
