THE TOURNAMENT OF AGES!

There is a 10m sponsorship reward to be divided among the competing classes. Along with the 4m collected from the buy in pot. There is a required 8 competetor minimum per challanging class. The prize pot can be larger depending on how many compete in their class.

If a class fails to meet the 8 player minimum there will be no registration fee collected and the class will not be able to compete.

 

I think what he was talking about was me saying that I don't have enough recources to sponsor some sort of championship, afer all, the way he explained it was how competitions, champinoships, etc. work in real life as an example to how I don't really need any recources to do these kinds of things.

P.S. I understand that it's a bit frustrating for someone to make you look a bit greedy even though what you are doing is non-profit, but I think you might have lost your chill a little bit there; I'm sure he didn't mean to make you look bad.

- Why such a high non-refundable entry fee? For a non profit...

And how do you overcome proration? Within a class? Shouldn't it just be fastest avg time to kill boss?

I've had games where I've beat 2h users with 1h dagger, because i ruined proration, and then opened a window for myself with magic.

Also, what about manipulating the boss, to repeat AOEs by flinching? So they kill your opponent haha. I do this on Twilight dragon, so he spams his blue aoe at mages and snipers.

I'm sorry for putting words in your mouth. I'll amend the post as a hypothetical as opposed to a solid proof. Didn't mean to start a controversy over nothing.

Chill out. I'm actually very interested in seeing this tournament unfold and would like many other tournaments to follow afterwards. The guild in question is typically trustworthy as well. So I see no reason to bash them over this.

 

The class is required to have 8 challengers to be considered a competing class, we are not collecting the entry fees until the class has reached the minimum 8 entries. All fees are collected on one account and a screenshot is taken to prove the fee has been collected. All information is posted in the torunament line group for everyone to see. The battles will also be posted on the youtube channel to show everything that happens.

 

It is non refundable because people have a bad habit of not having any follow through. Do you realize how many people may or may not seem interested but want to bail at the last second? A lot. I can assure you with my guild sponsoring it NO ONE will be profiting from this except the competitors. We don't want to waste the real competitors time and we don't want our time wasted by asinine excuses of why people can't show up.

Also 500k is nothing if someone really wants to join...if 2 of my guildies can raise nearly 10 million in less than a week the REAL way (not buying ) it..where there's a will there's a way man. If you can't raise the money ask for sponsorship or just enjoy the show.

The amount of hate and negativity you all give tidy is too damn high. It's a tournament, you win money and get to show off a bit...chill.

 

I see alright, and (if) it goes over 10m the winner gets all basically? I do have more then enough but no time. You guys are doing it on a weekday not weekend so i wont join because i know i will be busy.

v.v let me break this shit down into layman's terms. If you have any questions about this stuff after this you probably didnt read the post at all or try to understand:

☆Its a non-profit tourney meaning no matter how much spina enters the pot it wont be given away to anyome outside of the tourney (tournament officials count as being "outside the tourney" as well) so add up numbers all you want it doesnt make a difference since it's going to the winner
☆It costs 500k per entry because the pot has to be reasonable enough for it to not be a waste of time (most of you players dont do anything for fun. But almost all will join something that involves making spina)
☆Its a nonrefundable buyin because players generally like sam said ditch last minute or always have some excuse to withdraw.
☆If the 8 players arent accumulated for your class then your class is disqualified meaning you cant buy in to the pot at all meaning you DONT spend the 500k to participate because you cant participate.
☆If you buy in and dont show up then thats on you. The spina still simply goes to the winner. Nothing changes
☆There can be more than 8 participants per class but no less than 8
☆All matches will be recorded and posted on youtube (hence why its attacker classes and no class for tank specifically)
☆this post will be updated with progress of the tourney.
☆The 10m sponsorship pot is something completely different from the class pot. Based on hoe many classes there eill be the sponsored 10m will be divided amongst them so trying to add it up right now is wasting your own time since there's a potential for more or less classes. Just think of it as a bonus(to the winner of course)

It's not fair to host a dps tournament for only do classes?

And if your build can't survive at higher level bosses you obviously don't have the best dps.
