I understand sir jbatz means even if no flinch, but continues tumble and stun also no good.

U said no one complaint u. Well sir jbatz in his post quite clear. Maybe not complaining but theres rlly an issue. And he 140 quite nice. Others rlly complaint.

So i jst want to state, u never got complaint with all those 1 mp combo as shield. Good for u.

Who knows. I DIDN'T EXPERIENCE IT EVEN WITH 3 SHIELD-MAGE IN MY PARTY.

 

Ill only upgrade my gears if at lvl 150 mage can dominate attacker ranks..it needs a high damaging burst skill really

Not really right to accuse the whole community of being that way but I understand your point. Been there, done that.

 

I dunno i dont have a mage but if sometimess you dont want to get caught on boss atks, maybe that combo may just work like what the mage here did.

You should just use bless and enchanced bless, no mini heal, no Sanctuary, no guardian. Learn more about how Aegis and Protection works. Learn more about aggro.

You might be hated because your support is not good enough. Low HP players don't need mini heal, just FYI. They needs constant Bless with 300+ per tick, which a mage with 2020 MATK would able to perform it. Bless is economic. It reduces your revita usage if you use it properly.

If you're building a Shield Mage w/ Support skills, you couldn't do it half-assedly. Take gloria, take Bless. You must know the mechanism of supporting, healing, PRORATION, and nonetheless basic knowledge of aggro.

People don't like your build, doesn't mean it's your fault. It is true. But if people don't like your support, something MAY BE wrong in how you support. Not saying you're wrong. I just proposed a probability that you got something wrong in the way you play.

Because I have Level 140, 2340 MATK Shield-wielding Mage with 362 Bless per tick, Lv10 Gloria, Lv10 Aegis and Protection, and 9313 HP, and everyone especially tank loves my build and how I support them. I call it offensive support, because I support whilst attacking. Nonstop attacking and don't pause just to support, except reviving and recovering/mini-healing tank.

Even if you spam skills, nobody would mind because:
1. You are helping the Phy Attackers proration if you don't use many physical attacks (and don't use many physical attacks please); and,
2. You don't ruin your fellow mages' proration.

These are my combos:
1.Priest's Cannon Combo (1 MP):
Arrow->Shield Cannon(save)->Bless(cons)->Impact(cons)->Storm(smite)->Protection/Aegis/both (cons if only one, save-swift if both)

2. Gloria Burst Combo (4 MP):
Impact->Storm(smite)->Gloria(save)->Bless(swift)

I am playing long-range. Gloria Burst first, then Priest's Cannon right away. Spamming Priest's Cannon until 7-9 secs left on tge Gloria. By then, I use Gloria Burst again, then continuing on Priest's Cannon. So no need for flinch, holy fist, or martial skills. Let it be your party members' job. You also don't need to worry about sanc and guardian, because Gloria is more than enough (raises your guard rate and triples your DEF/MDEF), first reason. Guardian would lower your Damage per Sec, and Sanctuary only effective if you receive a damage that's lower than 10% of your MaxHP, second reason. If you have a skill in controlling your character, then you will be a pro in no time. More practice, more introspection, less doubting. Think and calculate more.

Last advise, don't worry about sanctuary. Again. I am not sure if Tyrant Machina would do lower than 10% of your MaxHP, but mate, Gloria ftw.

I also like to advised to use only 1 from aegis/protection buffs. The buff that will protect dps from stray aoe if you're farming with a tank. On most boss (tapir/tyrant) atk that mostly kills dps are skills with physical dmg. A tank shouldn't mind -magic/phisical resist if itll give the dps more survive ability from an unexpected atks.
