So basically the social aspect of the game is what drew me in and kept me playing, but as of late that has kinda dwindled to nothingness I come on at different intervals and most of the people I play with and chat with are either offline or already off doing there own thing. I try finding new friends to party with but lately end up in anti social party's or ones where I'm the forth wheel so to speak. Now often I find myself wasting hours looking for a party or just doing the same things solo, so things are becoming beyond repetive and I'm starting to loose that drive to play. I don't know what I can do to revitalize my game play experience maybe it's time for recruiting new players to the guild? Maybe it's just time to take a break you know absence makes the heart grow founder lol. Blah I know I know such is the world of online gaming, but anyone else ever have issues feeling like a loner in a game with so many players?

I felt that til I went on Line with Toram. Using an out of game interface like Line, Kik, Discord etc. makes the game a lot easier to play, especially in big groups like the infamous "Toram Online Hub" that @Tidytrax set up because there's always a supply of people to play with. Even if you quit you still have those people who you can talk to, cuz when I went on hiatus I was still a Hubber and a Forumer(more or less made a new account lel) and I ultimately got pulled back in by my 2 friends, @Voodooed and @Alzarith. While I don't talk to them as often as I'd like to, I still consider them to be some of my best friends in game, and I was still able to talk to them when I wasn't playing, which not only made me come back to Toram, but solidified the friendship to be beyond that "Toram, It's just a Game" friendship that most people have.

    Side Note:
Seriously, why the hell do people think that just because a friendship is made online it's not as real as one IRL. Ik this should go elsewhere but it's just the segue I'm having in my head. Like, look. I get if you just have that dude on your FL that you talk to if they're online and stuff, we all have them. But if you have a guild member or friend you chat with on the daily and talk to outside of the game, that friendship gets a lot more real that "Oh you're stronk lemme pt with you". It becomes "Hey man how's life, how's the kids, school etc.",

I quit once and then made a new account after few weeks. I build my own guild and recruit new people, i kicked them all when time came, now my guild are made of 3 members which is my dummy accounts.
The only thing that i see good in toram is people still keep farming the farm spot. You cant find that in many games where you just shout "lfp bitches" and 3 invitations came in.
I like toram community that makes me back in game though sometimes bordome get on my nerves.

I got lucky, i have a guild filled with crazy peeps. Guildchat filled to brim with nonsense jokes and banters, that's what kept me playing a whole solid year. Of course there are downtimes since commitments irl takes priority and all. But in the end of the day, guild chat is never empty. May it be a random spam, request for giga or a full pledge song, im so glad that somebody is chatting there. I even avidly wait any reply on the building romance between guild mates(heck i don't know their genders, who cares!)

"Do what you want and enjoy your life " ~ Me in a nutshell

Also if you want some new adventure. Just search for a newbie around. Sometimes they need your help, i helped around 2 of them. Teach them about skill, build, and leveling. And do some shameless forum promotion like "Hey, maybe you should try to go to the forum many helpfull[less] people are there"

I helped one of them yesterday. In INT 2!!! Heck what is he doing in my peace server. :D

Try finding a casual guild... Something that chats all-day to pass time, a few newbies that needs a strong merc and a helping hand... You can even sponsor guild events if ya want...

It's also fun watching them newbies getting stronger each day... Even teenagers complaining about their classes and crushes is kinda refreshing from time to time

plus the praises for your merc being "stronk" boosts confidence, even tho you already scrapped that char cuz its weak af...

And what @Isra said, out of the game chat groups helps in playing the game...

I'm thinking about leaving as well. Just not worth the time investment for me, I feel like I have so many other things I can be doing that are more fun, more fulfilling, and more productive.

I know what you mean I started a guild a when I first started playing tried to get a guild chat setup outside of the game but had issues getting everyone to agree on what platform to use, none the less I had a select group of members I viewed as close in game friends as we would chat regularly about all sorts of things. Alot of them just disappeared out of the blue without saying anything. Online friendships can suck you open up to people and talk about personal stuff or give them advice and then they just vanish and leave you wondering did I say something? Did something happen irl? Did something happen to their phone? Ect ect....
My guild was like that in the beginning but it dwindled down, partially my fault I think as I have little experience running a guild. I attempted to make the guild more social and active as a group but became discouraged after a few failed attempts to get the guild to join the forum here. And may have been a bit to focused on my personal grind after that I mean I still said hello and what not but if no one was on or responded, then I'd load up my alts use some drop books turn off chat and farm.

I often do that but I only offer help till the first greedy d bag comes along asking me to give them spina or equipment right off the bat. Then I just get irritated I have no issue helping or getting equips if I can afford to do so, but it grinds my gears when I'm offering quest help and someone whispers me me help then asks for a m spina like damn I don't even have that... Why do ppl assume bc you above lvl 100 your rich lol
That was the initial structure to my guild but then things sort of just changed, ironically when I started trying to introduce events and such :( I'm not sure the exact cause but it sucks none the less..

Yea I can't wait for katana to take my mind off my current social endeavors lol

We have a facebook page, and a chatgroup there. This month is on full swing due to the events we held in every week. Heck, we even have fashon contest with rules and all(a guildie loaned my afro wig for this). We have rules of course about guild contribution and minimum contribution. New guys keep going in and getting gone. But what hold our guild together is our GL and the admin group. (Im just a regular member mind you).

From someone who played this game for 3years and had his teenage years fucked up because of toram. I think its best you just retire, aint worth dealing with the migraines later on.
