Oh Yay! My 1st thread and it's a rant.


OK.. I'm a week old player. Wasted all my free orbs on ava chests only to get ugly Avas and gems. F up my skill because I'm a newb so used the reset then summarily F up my skills again due to misinformation.

Then farmed my first 500k. Bought some materials(150k worth I think) for some npc weapons because I can't freaking kill the boss to make something that's only marginally better than what I have. Crafted the weapon(already broken down the old one) and decided to upgrade it, only for it to fail and dissapear because I didn't know that weapons has a chance to break at +6 and up.

Now I'm a weaponless noob with s*** skills. The only reason I haven't started over/quitted yet is because of that free skill reset everyone is talking about.

Ooh forgot about this:
I started walking from sofya(I forgot to buy el scaro warp) all the way to solfini roof top to try and start buying for twilight dragon wings(because the ones on the consignment board are expensive as f***). No one is there so switched to international 2. When no one is selling because they don't have it or don't want to sell it to a poor noob who buys too low(20k each), switched to International 1 then BAM disconnected. Who knew that the freaking Int. 1 server is under maintenance or something. Now I have to wait several hours(I hope not) just to try and get my weapon back again, that is if someone decided to sell some to me. Took me an hour(?) my 1st time buying there. zzzzzzzzz........

Now I'm getting more annoyed when I remember that guy who begs at sofya getting lucky because someone gave him 1m(took me 5 hrs. Farming and another 3 hrs. Trying to sell for my 500k).

Oh well you live, you learn.

Edit: Now I learned that freaking using a hammer will break your weapon if it failed. I got the hammer just this morning from potum darts. Freaking evil potum darts!!!

Already bought the wings. It's annoying that some people have no mercy for a poor noob, getting angry and mocking me because I buy for 20k when it is 40k at the CB.

1 question though: Is that stuff about the hammer true? So as long as I don't use a hammer it won't break no matter how high the upgrade is?(Edit: So it's seen easily.Just needed this answered)

 

I believe at +e weapons have a chance to break. Erm what class are you i may have a spare weapon it wont be great but hey a wep is a wep.

 

No need. Thx anyway. I only really need 1 crystal beast claw. Still gonna wait until a cheap one appears on CB.

Knux user. Good thing knux skills work on any weapon. Right now I'm using some staff(very weak because of wrong stats) I got somewhere.

 

Okay well you could probably farm them on easy if you have to sure itll take a whilw but hey when you aint got nothing else to do

 

To answer the big friggin question. Yes, as long as you dont use the bloody hammer your gear can last a lifetime of failed upgrades or until you get +S on just plain trying.

You are just a week old player. Best you can do for now is to earn emblems that have stat and skill rewards and earn funds along the way(so you wont be so damn weak when you start a new char out of scratch!). You fail, you learn. And it is always best to start from scratch and dont rely on free resets if you are just a headless roach that wander about and have no friggin idea on what you are doing. Just suck it up, start over again.

 

if you really have nothing left on that account, you could delete all app data and start over with a new account.
(make sure to register an asobimo account afterwards, so the data is safe)

 

I agree, on my newb days i had to delete my account and make a new one since i messed up my stats, skills, then used up my reset/oblivion books only to f*ck up my stats/skills all over again. that was before I discovered the guides here on the forums xD

 

a piece of advice if you're planning to start fresh, you'd better save your orbs first and use them to expand your character slot, bag, and storage.

 

Everyone have trial and error bro sometimes giving a rant is better than quitting the game so it's all good and yea your best bet is to just make a new account and your right people are a little to harsh on newbs from what I see ofc most of you gone be clueless your new a week old at that just spend 1 hour reading the guides on here and work your way from that best spina making for low lvl is mino skins and since you use knuckles focus on your breaker tumble skills and become a full breaker you will be welcomed to a party easily just don't say knuckle dps lol

 

I loss 3 weapons just to convinced myself hammers is useless. I wont listen if someone wants to qoute me and say "no its not useless".

 

The life of a newbie is rough, but Toram is all about patience and not freaking out when you cuck something up, because it happens a lot. Like that one time I accidentally sold a +S 2s Bowgun with ganglef and imitator to sololo, did I freak out and quit the game? No.

hammers are good as long as the risk is 0,
but for some reason, people only use them for high risk gambling

 

hammer weapons arent coming because asobimo is gay.

My advice from newbie days, run npc craft gears as long as you can, and don't switch to player craft weapons till you sure what you want. Weapons are constantly changing and becomes a habbit to buy newest ones, so suggest to npc for now and NEVER USE HAMMERS THOSE THINKS ARE CANCER, I made the mistake to S refine once with it cried so much all my hard work for stating it and refining for it just to poof on me *cry*, as for spina we all start of with 0, such as me i never buy orbs item, all spina i have earned was thru farm and farm so keep at it you get rich eventually and you'll learn alot of people thru trades and good spina opportunities along the way. Unless your a orb free who buys those pierced packs then you'll be insta rich (jealous i don't have money like that) but if your ftp then fadm ny brother and keep a eye on the market try to see what people want and whats on demand. If you feel your weak farm for stronger gears npc and boss gears are really useful sometines for those who lack in spina (take it from me my katana set is all npc craft/boss dropped elements) If need help or want to farm something out of your range I'm sure players in the community are bored and willing to help. I'd be more then happy to help when I'm free, and I and many others can give good tips and advice into builds and spina methods. Take it from us oldies the key to being rich is farming like a mf xD Alot of these promos they have now didn't exist and so easy to make spina now if you know where to farm and what to sell for what prices.

 

Ima say just restart make a mage research a build don' mess it up. Leech till 70 lvl storm and impact then finish mq then grind and farm then once you cap out use reset books and make a blacksmith with max Tec then learn how to do full crt or any armor deck out a fresh guy then grind him on bosses all the way to max

 

Dude, warhammer is on sched till next december just like halb and katana, then again, it is all speculation until it is officially announced tho. Or unless apple blocked it too.

Its actually in the description when you view the hammer. Also when upgrading there will be a notice in the upgrade window. Rookie mistake I guess. Anyway no problem with that. Some people have been there.
