Will you be saved by some random mage with white hair or some knight with red hair later?

my imagination are running wild for what kind of "class" I can make in this game. But for now I'll just stay and make a good 2H and see how I will fare from there

My first character was an archer. Snipe didn't exist at the time and I wasn't good with combos, so I would just use moeba shot every time my target got too close so they would slow down. I eventually decided to play as a brawler. I've loved using brawlers since then because, in the early days, brawlers were practically invincible because of their high dodge rates as well as their ability to block attacks with flinch and tumble. It's a shame that flinch/tumble/stun sensitive bosses exist now because they kinda destroy the brawler's purpose, but I guess I just have to adapt whenever I can.

My first character is generally the most difficult one to solo as. Started back during my MapleStory years, Mabinogi, Blade n' Soul, and now here (keeping the tradition going) with my Fighter. I guess I have something to prove to myself and to others. Unfortunately for this kinda game, it's mostly socially driven so the endeavors to get strong is really overrated in spite of the gloating you'll hear.

So grab a friend and face the world of Toram! Oh and.... level up way past the suggested level for the Main Storyline.....cause MAN! Sometimes those bosses are fre-quent!

flinch sensitive? Means they have mechanic to counter such moves? or will they unleash something after getting flinched?

Few days ago I tried brawlers and as with other game, I just can't seems do well with this class.
About the level above the story suggest, I really need to do that. I just fought Ooze, and he's a b-star-star-c-h.

Yeah, flinch sensitive means that they will use a counter attack after getting flinched.

The first real example you’ll find in the main quest, if I’m not misremembering, is Nurethoth. He does an AoE counterattack to interrupts until his hp reaches 25%. Or pillar golem who turns into his red attack mode if tumbled/flinched I think. Stun works fine for that boss.

Meanwhile you can just stunlock bosses like Yelb or Zahhak Machina to oblivion, which is pretty fun. There’s a wide variety of boss patterns so it’s worth doing at least one battle on easy/normal to check for interrupt counters.

Yeah, you'll find a plenty of them. Asobimo has been calming down a bit with them lately, but usually ~50% of the higher level bosses are sensitive.

    Good Question...
I started playing in 2015 around the 35/45 cap and my first class was 1H and simply cause I that's what I mostly choose for most games. I mostly played using NPC/Boss/Mob drops, stuck with using Forest Wolf and Aqua Garb till around 120 cap. 1H I made it mostly agil and dex cause I wanted a speedy kinda 1H that I'd be able to use as a D.W (If it became an actual class, figured it would since Toram is Iruna's predecessor). Combo wise and using skills I didn't know shizzle till like I encountered my first 2 main guilds which basically just taught me about expirmenting with what works for you, knowing about proration, and how combos work ish. Most of my spina... was given to synth. I hardly made spina tbh, I got some from selling stuff to Sololo ;D , I would often discard boss mats, xtals etc~ X'D I gave away roga for free and discarded one when it first came out all cuz I just wanted Killer Coat

My advice is make make mistakes, spend your orbs and books wisely, keep tabs on what's being sold, and have a mage or some sort of farmer/alch/statter so you don't need to buy things as much.

They could have make them resist to flinch-type status for 10~15 secs instead of putting such mechanic. But hey, that's not me to decide.

I knew that feel! I accidentally sold 4-leaf clover from Forest Wolf! lol. I currently had no luck with boss crysta. But Who knows what future holds.

I think I will make one since I hardly having any spina..

Ooze? Oh, yeah, I remember fighting that doofus. Not fun. But that's nothing on the future bosses. May you avoid getting high blood pressure from the salt intake once you take on... ahem... Ancient Empress Mezzaluna ! That's where I called shenanigans for the first time. She was ridiculous and I was in a party of 2. Soloing her is NOT an option if you're just barely in the level range. She and her band of oh-so-cute ghosts will wipe the fantastical glass floor with you without giving you the courtesy of being physically beaten up close. >_>;; But if you're ever online and need some assistance, me and my bestie MamaKat will be happy to help. :) Also, it's always nice to have a pal who's pretty high leveled. If anything you can hire them as a merc for free.

Flinch, tumble, and stun already have cooldowns, though I think simply extending cooldown times instead of bosses having counters would be a lot better.

I'm NOT so waiting for this, lol. Having 1 boss to fight is already tasking. Let alone he brings more minions.

Sure, I would love need some help. But if I could, I don't want bother people too much and see what I can handle.

I know right. This boss already hard. They don't need to make it worse

These mage supremacist already trying to corrupt new players into joining their cults... Although I mainly use Mage characters on my 1st account too, I won't force anyone to be a farmer mage. xD
I started this game back in alpha (for a very short time) as mage coz I started as a Mage in Iruna. I messed it up so bad. @@ I used 3 books of oblivion to fix him coz I found leveling a pain back in beta, and i refused to farm small articles. :v (Nightmare Crystal and Bitternuts were not a thing back then)

In your case, I think you can keep being a 2h. For mob farming, you can rely on Sonic Blade's Supersonic Blade mode for farming general mobs.

IMO, the best mob-farming characters are these: (ordered by my preference and opinion)
    1. DW (4 skills designed to deal damage to multiple enemies)

    2. Mage (can't really dethrone them :v only downside is you really want everyone else to have aggro)

    3. 1h and 2h (Supersonic Blade. It has "Super" in it. Nuff said.)

    4. Halberd (Updated Dragon Tail is faster than previous versions of it. Using Dragon Tail into Magic Impact into Dive Impact is really good.)

As for my opinions for Knux and Bows' ability to farm mobs, I have not yet checked out the lv4 skills yet, so I'm gonna try them out first before making an opinion.

This remind me with some other game that said to me "Make thief class and farm first, after that, you can enjoy the game". I was like.. "So, before I can ENJOY the game, I need to FARM?".

Thanks for this suggestion. After few times I went as 2H, their lack of accuracy reached my nerve and I ditched to DW. Lucky I found that DW is in good spot for farming speed.
