Support Aura related

In a party, to which kind of players will you keep close so that the effect of Aura based support skills can reach them?
Edit: one more question, how did you level up your full support character?

Max range of them is 10m.

 

You can get all of them in the aura if their positioning isn't too far apart.

But focus on players depending on what your aura is. If all of them are DPS, then connect the aura to as many people as possible. If their damage has a very noticeable gap, then connect it to the best DPS in your team.

 

When I support I usually stand immediately behind the boss. A good tank keeps aggro and directed aoe his way. Staying behind the boss usually helps buff all melee dps and prevents me from being hit which cancel buffs.

 

To level up a support you will basically be "leeching" and/or buying nc's. Just try looking for parties at bosses/mini bosses within a level range of preferably 3-/+, its the range with the most exp boost benefit. Questions, are you full support based or support with finale? To be honest, some of the auras don't look too necessary to need them.

Glad it might help you, we need more supports after all! An added bonus of standing behind the boss is visibility. I can cast heals or recovery to remove ailments and still see what the boss is doing. If I know a boss' attack patter I could move away before the aoe marker even shows up. So I'm never caught in the middle of casting something and buffs are never erased.

 

If it's full support you'll definitely be leveling up with boss/mini boss runs and the occasional nc quest in the lower levels. Eventually you will be able to get an attack. The priest skill tree will have nemesis, it was a powerful attack bishops have in iruna(the prequel to toram). It should be available at level 215.

Oh some advice, if you have low matk and are using bless(enhanced bless as well) it won't heal a high amount but it'll be sufficient. If there's another mage in pty and they have bless chances are it could heal more, don't cancel their bless if they are casting it but cast yours if they let theirs run out and are not casting it often.

I like supports and have a very noobie low level one that will be leveled up one day XD and my main is a "supportish" mage and has heal, recover, first aid and enhanced bless. I'll be getting her brave aura, but from there I'm still debating between mana recharge, the cspd and charge aura or maxing out burst and possibly storm again. I had taken out the line with storm as I wasn't using it and am not sure if to just leave it, get it and burst to lv5 or max it and burst.

 

I like support too. But I think supports are not so welcome at mini bosses, and normal/hard mode bosses. But nightmare and Ulti mode, you know, it's hard to find a party.
Mine is full support, so it wont have offensive skills. Do you burst and storm for the purpose of support or dps?
Level cap 215, so we will have to wait 18 months for it to come out (0.0)

 

Its gonna take a lot longer than 18 months to reach 215 cap XD probably like 2 - 2 1/2 years or more. They are raising cap lvl very slowly
My main is dps with a side of healing to support. My plans for my support is either to have storm to prorate and burst for some damage. Or just finale for some damage. Finale on support is risky though and needs an excellent tank and patience.

 

Oh, and at normal/hard bosses and mini bosses if you can't find party its probably because they are looking to farm rather then grind. For those ones you'll need to find a party that's grinding for exp. The farming ones are usually cap or almost cap lvl and looking to kill it in under a minute.

 

You need at least 3000 mtk so that burst can deal large amount of damage, otherwise it will deal around 100-170k, I like burst too, maybe it can be used for knock+backing mobs?

 

Reaching that amount of matk now is not hard. And 100-170k is still a decent amount.

 

But it will be long compared to casting finale. Do you know any staffs and gears that can make mtk reach 3k mtk without queen staff? Cause My mtk without queen staff is always low.

 

What stats are you using and gear and xtals? And burst is instant if you cast about 8 magic skills before it. And the new anniversary staff NPC or player stated +B~S would give a nice amount of matk.

 

Yes, that is what i mean, you have to cast 8 magic skills first. If you have 1k cspd, you still have to cast 4 skills first.
I tried a full Int one, and the staff I choose may be 3rd Anniv staff now. Mozt armor, tyrant grievance, And the ring that gives 500mp amd mtk +8.

 

I'm guessing your secondary stat is vit. A good armor to have is a player stated holy robe with +7% I&m and -10% aggro. If 1s just equip iconos or its new upgrade, if 2s then equip an matk xtal, ifrid or jade raptor upgrade.

 

A short list of additional gear:
Nightcap, 500mp and 500 cspd.
Fairy Hat, 4%matk and agi, 800hp and -15% aggro.
Beak mask, 300cspd 4%matk.
Devils horns (best used with agi), 5% matk 666hp 20% dodge and matk up by agi - obtainable from Halloween event.
Devil's hood, 5% matk 6% magic pierce 7% stability +8%aggro(use with -% aggro gear).
Medic bag(I think that's what its called) it gives a big -% to aggro and +mp - for support the -% aggro is always good.
Xtals: Ancient empress upgrade, Chocolate ooze upgrade, York xtal, aranea(idk spelling for it), Neuroth upgrade.
