Katana Str vs Dex

I don't know if this was ever asked before but I want to ask what is the difference between the Str> Dex katana and Dex> Str ? and which one is superior between the two ? also which one is better for Zantei build ?

imo, it depends on the build itself.. str>dex is more stability and cdmg. dex>str is only more damage. i have tested those two with my current equipment, and i found out that str>dex is much more damage and stability for me, but for some people they like dex>str more. and dont focus on zantei cuz eventually you will end up with using tenryu or and garyou as dps. while zantei is only used to pumped up garyou damage if you are willing to use it though.

 

Str= slightly more damage, more stability

Dex= More accuracy = less graze

Dex 255 30vit rest str is love u die less deal 95%dmg of full str and Dex and u can get party glasses to compensate for loss in stab.

btw, you can use vita plus III and lyark tranquilizer to get +2.5k max hp and also ornlarf gives you another 3k

attack damage is depends on proration, and iirc every boss has different proration rate

 

although str gives better damage, i would still pick dex for a very high hit rate. ive played a lot of physical characters and grazing hits are something that would really lower down the dps. grazing hits have always been a problem of physical dps users. i would prefer a lower damage with dex but at least i can be more consistent as i can dish out the same damage on almost all mobs. encounter a mob with high dodge and your all powerful str will go down the drain with grazing hits.
