That's where you're wrong
Where bosses have high evade or doege, a physical dps will fail for it
Mages take time but are guaranteed a hit unless the boss moves out of the aoe
The damage output of a mage compared to physical dps spammer is far greater than other classes in such a case like P .Avatar
Again, I've still seen many physical classes stuck in Pavatar map shouting lfp
Including tenryuu and cf/sniper and ths anand every other class

 

Friends does not count. The OP is basically complaining about random parties. Try looking for a random party there with your Katana, you'll grow molds before someone invites you.

I once AFK there when I was eating. Watched all those shouting "LFP", it has been 30 min. or so and the names aren't changing LoL.

Also they definitely want tank there even if they showed poor performance(well not so poor that they're useless). My 1st time there, I died 5 times and yet they didn't kick me(well I was using revive droplets so...). Then botched the next 3 runs by falling yet they still didn't kick me. 4th times the charm though as I redeemed myself on that 4th try.

Good ole DPS queue taking forever even in Toram. Go figure. At least we don't have to wait for supports and only need an influx of tanks for all of the DPS out there.

This is honestly more of a DPS slot thing than a class slot thing. There aren't enough tanks at P avatar to accommodate anything but first pick players. The DPS to tank ratio right now is like 1:12 (it honestly might be higher) people. If you aren't a first pick class, you're very likely not getting a party as a DPS unless you're lucky.

Its ridiculous to think any physical dps class can get invites so easily
The entire weekend I've seen with my own eyes and experienced it
Tanks are high up in priority for invites, then mage
I can't say much for ths, bow or katana but given they've been waiting all weekend as well i think they're not so big a priority haha
I agree tho, tanks are a rare breed

I'm actually amazed how people cry about proration
But a full party of mages and one tank

No one bats an eye
I hope we leave this phase of "magic is everything"
Bring back bosses that have high magic resist or force you to mix up the party

I don't blame op for his complaints
The mage faction deserves their power, but its too much power to the point most classes that we loved and played with the most are being pushed away

 

I'm not saying that they aren't less prioritized. I'm saying that unless more tanks come into the game there won't be enough room for tier 2 and tier 3 DPS. Since the Tier 1 pick is overfilled and competing for extremely limited spots. Get more tanks around and the problem slowly fixes itself. Not saying the balance of things right now is good. Just that the only way to alleviate things for everyone right now would be to get way more tanks into the game.

Know that feel my dude. Though that's been a thing for forever. We're expected to be tanks even if we invest 20m into our characters towards DPS. P avatar works out well for us to. :\.

Mages can prorate for themselves actually. Arrow and Dagger mages in particular are self prorating monsters and since physical skills will prorate regardless of if they hit or not, there's almost no reason for them not to just spam physical skills (+1 if all the mages also have Sneak Attack). This also allows for the tank to spam physical skills and distribute neutral proration if the mages are to lazy to auto attack. Full mage parties + tank is just a perfect storm of beneficial mechanics that benefit spam towards big D Finale. So long as they don't overdue it and eat through the tanks aggro. I don't think it's the best for P avatar, but aside from a few bosses, it's very easy to run with.

Feeling that pretty hard with these event bosses, especially Gespent. Been playing my 1hs tank instead of my brawler main for the most part. The sad thing is that our interrupts+proration are really useful in those fights, but everyone wants Finale/Crossfire/Tenryuu for DPS or Guardian for AMPR...

We don’t even get any superpower knuckles either RIP. It’s only staff/halberd/katana/2HS.

I havent farmed p.ava after I got the katana but as for gespenst katana tears the cloak of that wannabe reaper.

I'm sad gespenst is going away after the update. . I don't have the armor yet. :'(
With a great group of friends gespenst melts pretty quick. I never would have gotten this without my friends.

Yea u do not understand those long charge and the risk of being one hit killed by boss cz u need to stand still like a statue for like 3 sec at best. And it doesnt guaranted hit against mobile boss
