1. After their actions of ignoring their users for almost 3 days I wouldnt be too sure about this.
2. This it total BS and it could be considered if they dont know what security IS. Some good companies can even tell you the location AND address of their physical server lmao.
3. Updates? They first replied after the server was down for ~4+ hrs. Next message was about them "lookin into the issue" which took em 3 days untill they figured they need to do a...what?...full restoration? LOL
Oh yes, and then they just died for 2 days w/o any info.
BUT, they were posting fresh orb deals for us, the first 3 days, roflmao because no one couldve bought them with a down server.
Im angry at lousy customer support, because this is not how it's done.
P.S. this noob has exp working for some big us company being a tech cs and we worked 3 shifts 24/7 even on New Year, but these guys didnt even bother leaving a "sorry" message every day (at the least).

At best we will have our account as it was pre-reset. At worst it be a wipe. Pray for the very best at least post-reset(lot of players did grind at this period).

 

Honestly, I'm expecting to lose my magic Gunner because I did most my grind then and there z.z

Don't get your panties in a twist, restoration can simply mean they are rolling back to pre update, from what I heard the game was a cluster$&@£ after maintenance and then it went offline, my guess is they attempted to hot fix the update found they couldn't do so and decided to roll back to pre update come maintenance. We will know at about 8am (it is the 7th as we speak in Japan and I am guessing it will be a long maintenance at least 2-3 hrs), time will tell, should it still be down 2-3 hrs after maintenance then it is safe to say Data has been lost or corrupted.... and that could be a big issue.

 

Let's see what cards we get dealt and hope for the best.

Been playing Escape from Tarkov a lot to get used to the server wipes so that I wouldn't be shocked if they wiped the Toram character database.

No they have now atleast stated the issue and while not good news it is not all bad, they identified the issue, confirmed that personal data was not stolen and have set a timetable for resumption of service. Data loss or corruption takes time to fix, recovery is a slow painful process but not an impossible one (most of the time), while it is not the best news it is far better than silence and confirms the game will go on, they could go live right now... minus people's character accounts, they are in the process of recovering accounts and I'm pretty confident people want their characters back not just a functioning game, is it a guarantee all will be peachy keen come Tues.? No a few, some, many or all accounts may be lost but they believe they can be recovered and considering the cost of an inactive game on a company (the average cost is 10k per DAY) they must believe a high probability that the accounts can be recovered or the game would be up right now minus those lost accounts.
