Just wondering, is it possible to level from 125-150 through mobs only? Bosses are too hard for my wimpy katana lvl 3 skills so i plan to change it into a div halberd if levelling through mobs is possible.

    Would appreciate any insight thanks.

Yes, it is possible, it just takes an extremely long time.

For most beginning players, leeching is a completely normal strat, so don't worry about leeching from random parties.
If you need a party, you can ask guild mates for help, or find friends who can carry you up.

Here is the levelling list I use for levels 125+ (Somewhat outdated)

122-127 Lapin the Necromancer (Trace of Dark River)
127-130 York (Huge Crysta Factory: storage) hard mode(recommended)/ Lalvada (Monster Forest)
130-134 Candela (White Day event) soda difficulty 130 / Salamander (Blazing Graben: surface)/ Evil Magic Sword (Singolare ruins: a2)
136-140 Builder Golem (Huge Crystal Factory:a3) mini boss
140-144 Dusk Machina (Small Demi Machina Factory:a2) mini boss
144-150 Odelon Machina (Large Demi Machina Factory:a2) / Super Death Mushroom (Monster Forest)

150-154 Super Death Mushroom (Monster Forest)(edited)
154-158 Commander Golem (Lufenas's Mansion: Entrance) mini boss
158-160 Lyark Master Specialist (Brahe Laboratory: 2nd Building) mini boss
160 - 164 Venena the Lil Empresss Hard (Ultimea Palace:Throneroom)
    163 - 165 Wandering Wheel

    165 - 167 Zelbuse Hard(Recommended) (Ruins of Mt Mithurna : Open Air)
167 - 173 Venena the Lil Empresss NM (Ultimea Palace:Throneroom)
173 - 175 Zelbuse NM or Altoblepas Miniboss (Rokoko Plains)
175 - 180 Mithurna Lynx Mini Boss (Ruins of Mt Mithurna : Stylobate) or Mardula NM (Halls of Blessings Gods)

Bubble Angel at Mt. Mithurna last area before Mardula fight called Shrine of the Gods Area 3 is level 145 so yes you can level to 150 just by farming mobs now.

I'm sad that I have neither of those.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing as OP too. I feel like lv120+ bosses are a bit too tough for me to solo (and I also don't have revita) even just normal attack still take a chunk out of my hp.

Why solo? There are a ton of parties, it just takes time.
Im stuck at 141 atm and i totally hate DM, being a tank and all.
Doing venena normal (1.5% per run), after a 100+ runs will sell mats and buy NCs so fck it :kreygasm:

usually when i grind, i would use pots like vita plus III, power candy, monster pot, regera V, and especially white day heart chocolate which gives 150 mp per 10 seconds for 30 mins so it makes the grind slightly easier and faster

For beginners, I always recommend using 1h+Shield or Bow/Bowgun as these classes have either the most survivability options or have the easiest time dishing out damage.

Mononofu is a powerful class, but it relies on equipment more heavily then the aforementioned classes and therefore less beginner friendly.
Progressing through levels is possible with just drop equipment, buffs and more grinding, but you will eventually reach a point where leeching from parties in boss fights is overall going to be a far better time than soloing mobs till 150. I argue that dying and staying dead is more relaxing than actively fighting, not to mention saves that oh so precious spina (on rev items) that's fairly hard to get in high amounts in the early to mid game.

Yes it's possible if you got aoe (mage or HB farmer) and not so long. A few days. 125 - 132 ultmea storage mobs, later droma suburb, flucks at forgotten cave, 141-148 destiny cube in new map( there's a small room full of them with fast spawn rate) 148-150 you can just leech venena normal but if you are patient enough you can lvl on bubbles. Don't remember the rest but soloing flucks took 1 hr for 1 lvl with no boost on and about 9 hrs from 141 to 148 on cubes without boost either

I am right in this level range, thanks to the rollback, so this is how I'm doing it for now.
I tend to solo so I farm and level grind all at once.

Possible yes, exciting...no. Don’t intend to bash this or anyone but.....I notice ppl run through mq get easy exp and then afterwards struggle and limp their way to lv 150 or whatever, instead why don’t u grind for levels in between mq so that when u reach a boss you’re at or about it’s level and if you can beat it again, stay there and get a level or two then move on. That way you level cp, your character and it’s less stressful because the lower bosses are easier than the higher ones ( excepts bosses like Roga I hate that guy). In my opinion mobs exp gains are negligible in comparison to bosses and all that grinding can be tedious.

For each his own I guess. Mq doesn't give such a huge exp. I lvled to 115 the did mq, only reached 135 on JP server. It's quite hard to find parties for lvl 3 skills users, or better not to get kicked. Particularly I liked mob lvling. Could get some use of other mage skills rather than just finale

Haha I moved through most of the main quest then went back and did all the actual leg work with leveling the rest of the way.
Through mob grinding, I've found some good sources of income.
Everyone has their own play style. Sometimes it isn't beneficial to race to 150. I agree with you, but I also travel a lot around the maps and tend to farm monsters and bosses alike. I actually don't have a character who is at 150 yet. That's not my biggest priority right now.
I have a good deal of patience so I don't mind the long haul. And even though I have lvl 3 skills, I am familiar with them and know how to utilize them. It’s the same as familiarity with how boss monsters tend to behave.
On that note, you can find so many players in the game but good ones are rare. Anyone can be strong, it is the smart ones you have to find.

The “hard” you facing is on which one?
If you say party then don’t worry, there is lot of player didn’t have tier 4 skill yet beside katana Tier 3 skill is OP enough, so not to worry your damage is lower.

If you say boss always kill you, I’m afraid this is what you should face in toram life, you need to keep dying to learn the boss pattern, everyone is the same, just make sure not to dead again and again without learning.

Leveling by mob is fine, as long as your won’t feel boring on this, beside it’s do have many benefit like you can train your pet at the same time, easy fill up your material point and, easy on combo point leveling, and some material can sell in high price.

after every mq boss, grind within 2 lvls of said mq boss before moving on the next one. when u do, the next boss should be within 3 lvls for you to grind again, until of course eventually you cant keep up with the difficulty of the available bosses to grind which leaves you with not much option than to just rush mq after that. also a good tank merc is recommended to do use this method of lvling( i did it until lvl 90)

Get an Overpowered 2h merc into your party. any 2h mec w/ 6k atk would mostly 1HKO any mobs. Lv120, you target Llyark Jailers. In Cuervo Jail: Area 2, there are spots where they are abundant: One is on a hidden stairways going up from when you drop down to very bottom(just keep going to your upon entering the map), and another spot just beyond the swinging axes.
You can switch to Toy Bolgs until Lv 124.

Then you go to farm Lv124 Volos at Suburbs of Droma Square until you level up to 126. Unlock Ultimea Palace: Storage Area 1 via MQ, then farm Lv126 Stravos Machinas. Keep going deeper in the Ultimea Palace maps to kill Stravos Machinas until you reach Lv129.
Lv129, you got two choices: Pelles at Turnus Mines, or Galdon at Buried Tower. You need a hard hitting aoe skill for Pelle and they give out tonnes of xp, you can keep farming them in Area 1 and 2 to reach Lv135. Galdon is slightly easier. You can farm these to reach 133, then switch to Fanalizards at Currone Forest North Area 1.

After this you continue to farm Lv135 Shark Wolves to Lv137 Currone Forest North Area 2. Then move on to Lv139 Stones at Forgotten Cave until you reach Lv142. At this point, you farm Moss Granite until Lv145 then switch to Lv145 Bubble Angels at Shrine of the Gods until Lv148. BtW, at this point OP should have had farmed enough materials at this point to make a lot of Korakiris between drops from Shark Wolves and Moss Granite. Go kill some bosses with it.
