Is there a cap on physical and magic resistance? Without protection and agis, the max is ninety one and eighty one %. If it is capped at seventy-five% (as some people contend), does that mean it suffice to have sixty% physical and magic resistance without buff so one gets seventy % with agis and protection (capped, if it is the case)? Many thanks

Note: Sorry for the number expressed in a weird way, the forum doesnt allow me to put it in a normal way.

After 50% resistance, it will take halved IIRC. For example I have 90% resistance, but the result is 50%+((90-50)/2)%

Correct me if I am wrong or its false information

Let's assume your theory is correct, what if I have 120 physical resistence?
    50%+(120-50)%/2=85%?
    Or 50%+(100-50)%/2+20%/3(or 4 or whatever)?

there's no limit, but it calculates in steps of 50%.
so after every 50%, damage is halved and the remaining resistance is applied to the remaining damage.

    example:

let's say you take 1000 damage.
up to 50% resistance, you get exactly that. so 30% resistance lowers the damage to 700 and 50% to 500.

if your resistance exceeds 50%, it calculates the 50% first, then the rest.
so 80% reduces the damage to 500 and then to 350. 100% to 500 and then to 250.
this means that 100% resistance actually reduces damage by only 75%

this applies to all multiples of 50.
so above 100% resistance, it calculates the first 50%, then the second 50% and then the rest.
130% resistance reduces the damage to 500, then to 250 and lastly to 175.
    150% to 125 and 200% to 62.5 (63).

@Red_Fox for guard rate? Is cap 95% or 75%. I saw 95% in some posts.
And does guard defend from physic and magic dmg aswell?
What happen at 100% power? Magic and physic dmg you recived is 1? I didnt find any formula or anything that explain how guard works.

    Guard Rate cap is 90%.
Guard Power at 100% means 100% damage reduction. don't know if it becomes 1 or 0, it hasn't been reached yet.
Guard only works on your target enemy and will activate on physical and magical attacks, but not against 'charge' and 'foe_epicenter' red zones.
Guard Power is halved for magic damage.

charge: line shape, the boss moves along the line during the attack (like the Sonic Blade skill) -> Boss Roga, Masked Warrior, Jade Raptor

foe_epicenter: circle (full or fraction) shape with the monster in the middle -> Boss Roga, Masked Warrior, Yelb
