Bishop: Shield mage build (tnk+supp+dps)

    THAT INCLUDE THE PLAY STYLE OF THIS BUILD AND IS VERY IMPORTANT


    If u have read the mtl mage build in my previous post, this is just an upgrade of that build.
    Anyway, this build can be tnk, dps or support in pt which means it is way easier for u to find pt compare with normal dps mage.
    1. Tank ability up, better gear for tank
    2. Rely on avatar ability more, which gives more flexibilities in choosing gear
    3. Redistribute stat with new ring, higher dmg under atk mode
    Mtl: until u cn reach 100% ailment resist with ur gear (75% if 255 mtl)
    Rest Int
    My case: mtl235, int252
    1. Magic skill
      1. Impact lv10: Great mp saver
      2. Finale lv10: Main dps
      3. Mp charge lv10 and Maximizer lv10: mp recovery skill
      4. Magic Mastery lv10: Replaced with star gem, matk up
      5. Javalin lv10: Useful debuff skill, highly recommended (Star gem)
    2. Shoot skill
      1. Sneak attack lv10: star gem, aggro from finale is no kidding
    3. Halberd skill
      1. Quick aura lv10: a must when tnking
    4. Survival skill
      1. Max hp up lv10
    5. Battle skill
      1. Magic UP lv10: Matk up
      2. Increased Energy lv10: Matk up
    6. Support skill
      1. First Aid lv10: Replaced with star gem, useful when someone dead
      2. Sanctuary lv10: Immovable Fortress!
      3. Heal lv10: useful to help other survive, especially when the one tanking is not specialized tank
      4. Brave aura lv10: Dmg up
      5. Mana charge lv10: star gem, mp recover
    7. Shield skill
      1. Guardian lv10: Sometimes you need to tank so better to have it, useful for solo also
      2. Shield bash lv1: Useful stun, recommended
      3. Phy shield lv7: more def and hp as this build has low vit
    8. Knight skill
      1. Provoke lv10: used when tanking, Replaced with star gem
      2. P. def lv1: just to reduce high dmg atk from boss, think of level it up later
    9. Priest skill:
      1. Gloria lv10: def and m def up, useful when tnking or support
      2. bless lv10, enhance bless lv10: bless is star gem, useful when tnking or support
      3. Ether Barrier lv10: Prevent casting flinch, really safe charging since Mtl resist knockback and tumble
    10. Martial skill
      1. Sonic wave lv10: highly recommended, Replaced with star gem
    gives average damage with some supp skill, gd when ur tnk has low hp and def (he/she is more like an atker than a tank)

    Sub: Esca shield: new aggor shield with higher def than dark general
    Mozto Armor (from npc blacksmith) <Mom Fluck> (<Ornlarf>): ailment, hp and some matk
    Sakura drawstring bag <candela II>: matk and crt up from gear. Aspd and hp up from xtal
    Guidance Lantern <Seele>: Zauga love! Anyway, aggro and mp from ring with crt, resist and itm speed up from xtl

    Vita add III (Hp+1500): Useful and easy hunt with luk mage
    Tranquilizers (Hp+1000): No problem for luk hb

    Spell headphones (Cpsd+700): No need if you reach 1k already
    Giga speed potion (Aspd+750): For tnking, sometimes may use tera speed
    War dead bracelet (Accuracy+60): For boss solo, Poration​

    Simple barrier: Holy fist->Guardian (save) -> Ether barrier (cons) -> finale (smite) -> shield bash (cons)

    uhm, look interesting but ampr from spirit for me to tank atm. Basically, I prefer skill that can use in both tank mode and attacker mode (also, I won't use the quick draw much so the benefit not very high for me)

    I see:p, for ur skills imo i would get rid of gloria and ether barrier as imo they arnt very useful, and maybe mana recharge so u can get chakra from the martial tree, it reduces dmg taken for all pt members and recovers 100mp for u and them, since u have cspd it should cast pretty fast, tho i havnt logged on in awhile so i cant remember if knuckles need to be main or sub, staff tanks are pretty fun to play tho id never put mtl on mine or any of my characters, mtl just isnt my way of doing things

    Dekoi makes everything better, especially if you plan to also tank the boss. Also I feel like guardian is too slow. Can't you use berserk instead? Of course the mp cost might be slightly increased but you couldve compensate it with decoy's mp return

    The def down from berserk is too fatal... although war cry (save) -> impact (cons) -> guardian (swift) is another way but i will go over budget if i go sword skill.

    Tank is one of the element of this build. But indeed, this build aims at surviving in severe environment for mage that I can think of:
    1. can't find tank when random pt/front defense melts quickly+u need someone do magic poration
    2. anti casting spike (Gespenst2)
    3. frequent debuff (Noeliel, Blazing Graben) or even debuff cannot solved by recovery (stun, sleep)
    4. annoying mobs in boss fight (mom fluck)
    That's Y this mage is double protected by ether and mtl and equip with int stat instead of going traditional staff tank

    Hi, could you explain me a bit more about ether barrier? A traditional Int/Dex mage can get benefits of it, or do I need mental stats? I could really use that against spikes, like Gespenst.

    Ether gives 5 sec of cast flinch barrier after around 3 second charge. Since that charge can be shorten by cspd, int dex type do have its advantage on ether barrier. However, such mage still vulnerable to knockback,tumble and stun during charging and casting, that's Y I was using ether with mtl mage. Besides, cspd up can be increased by potion so that cspd advantage is not very large tbh. Last reason is that I got burst for my int dex mage :)

    ah, also forgot mention one thing: Currently Asombimo tends to make boss spamming ailment frequently which means u can spam finale way more easily as a mtl mage since ailment atk won't cause cast flinch even without ether. Therefore, ether definitely not a must unless there something similar with gespenst 2 large area spikes (well, burst can also handle this although its penetration power is weaker)
