    Attack it from the farthest distance so u can easily dodge. First attack the tentacles & be sure to face the octopus, so u can see the incoming attacks.

    25k per a solid 5m run. So let's say 275k an hour.

    ~7 hrs for Notebook of Oblivion
    ~18 hours for Seashell
    ~29 hours for Legendary Gem
    ~36 hours for a Life Potion
    =73 hours for Legendary Gem

    Will points double shortly before it ends like the previous years?

    stay at bottom left or bottom right so you can see the octopus bullet attacks( they are all going to go to the bottom since you are at the bottom) tho for the tentacles just hope that they dont spawn at the back ... XD if not your view may not be enough to see the bullets from the octopus

    same for revive droplets and teleport ticket.
