Viable Skills to Finish Off Low HP Enemies

Hello. I'm thinking of building a Finale mage. I'm actually a returning player who's lost his old account which had a Finale mage, so I have some experience with the build.

Before I start building my mage, I remembered having trouble finishing off low HP enemies. I could use another Finale, but is there any skill I could use that's easier to cast?

I looked into Burst, and wizard and magic blade skills, but Burst requires significant investment (I am starting from scratch, so I don't have the resources), wizard skills are apparently slow or hard to make hit (cmiiw), and the tier 3 magic blade skill seems incompatible with Staff+MD.

I've been thinking about what skill to invest on. I could level up Impact to Lv10, but I doubt it has enough power, and a lot of bosses are allergic to tumble. I read that Lances have good damage, but it is worth the 5 skill points? Storm can miss on mobile bosses, but I suppose this will be my go-to skill til I find something else.

Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

 

Use lance and get the lance registlet to make it fast. ^_^

Actually, try Holy Fist
It's under Priest skill tree
It's actually good for low HP, like killing off aggroed mobs while walking in a map

and maybe low hp minions as well
you can invest some SP into it, or buy SG since it's very cheap

It works well as a Finale Combo Ender so it's a nice thing to have

 

I've actually read about this, as well as Holy Light. Lance vs Holy Fist vs Holy Light? I don't currently have any resources to spare, so I'm not sure what to invest on. I am leaning towards Lance tho as RyeUshio suggested, mostly cuz it has long range.

 

Lance will also chase that boss for you like a homing missile. Holy light is slow and you can't shikuchi to holy fist them due to power wave, unless you use the registlet to turn off power wave. ^_^

It does work, you'll be in range tho but can't achieve the melee range you want for your holy fist to hit, that's where the power wave registlet comes in. ^_^

 

I see I see. Should I get shukuchi then? If it helps make me more mobile. Or would assault attack work better?

 

Shukuchi is a passive skill, thus it doesn't use mp with activation range is 24meters, it is only impaired by status ailment that affects your motion speed, like slow, freeze, stop and petrify in the future. You need 6sp to get it.

Assault Attack cost 100mp with an activation range of 6meters, it brings you at the exact position of your target(with the exception of stationary bosses like demon gate, venena, etc), so will often bring you to aoe range that will be quite deadly. You need 1sp to get it.

Take your pick. ^_^

Lances for the boss
