Very well said and I couldn't agree more. I also found myself in the same situation a few weeks ago and I even posted an article about it aptly named "feeling frustrated" lol, to ask for help. But yes, with constant practice and timing one can be a better sniper. Proration helps a LOT and the timing that comes with it before unleashing the heavy snipe can lead to wonders. With those in mind and with the help of the awesome and kind members of this community I was able to achieve those sweet six digit snipes XD Thank you so much Precaria for sharing your knowledge, all is very much appreciated ^^,

Yes it is possible but you'd need to use Book of Oblivion at Lv70.

I always farmed with Arrow Rain on my gunner and Wall on my mage before Lv70+ skills existed. So yeah it can be done with A. R. Lv10.

Hello can u help me Prec sempai? I have watched you videos and your dmg is really high but for some reason... mine sucks. Is there a problem with my build?

Prec have you tested how well Smited Arrow Rain does? :/ Snipers need some aoe too T-T losing out on dps against these other builds that have aoe skills vs new event bosses :/

 

Arrow Rain is risky.. As a good sniper it is important to have proration to your favor, and with maxed A. R. you'll be doing 4 extra physical hits before the next snipe. I haven't used it since cap 70, but I thought of a double smited combo with it, you'd need Smoke Dust Lv1 though.

Moeba > Smoke Dust (save) > Bullseye (cons) > Paralyze Shot (cons) > Arrow Rain (smite) > Impact (cons) > Snipe (smite) > Smash/Holy Fist (cons)
1 MP, Stability +10%, A. R. Dmg 130%, Snipe Dmg 150%, very high aggro.

You should be doing big damage with this. Maybe you're comboing right away when you enter the battle? A tip: max Sober Analysis, at Lv10 you can notice huge difference on the MP recovery. Shot Mastery from 5 to 10 will give you just 1.5% ATK boost, but it is more than the ATK +11 you got from ATK UP 5-10. Try switching your special gear to Adroit Warrior's Bangle with Nurethoth, since you have Jade Raptor on your armor you'll still have enough MP.

i have all those skills on my archer i can test for u if you like squid.
bt il giv my own personal take on arrow rain - much like prec said the move is risky cos ur build will have high aggro with it. also bowgun has a small arrow rain radius so yu hav to pray the boss doesnt move around alot or most of ARs damage is wasted. yu see mages have atleast a way to tumble bosses before storm.
i came to conclusion AW is best used with bow-why? cos greater rain aoe vs bowgun.
powershot is ur friend ; the tumble is perfect to lock a boss in arrow rain deliver most of its 4x hits.

of course ik most peeps dont like bows unfortunately xd. bt yeah jst my view

btw if u need a decent damage skill besides AW- paralzy shot is decent and quick- 3rd highest damage skill on arch tree for bowgun. @Mak0i was using it double smited in his combo with snipe 1mp

Snipers need spread shot kinda skill....(like a shotgun? it doesn't mean a shotgun build...)
I personally think spread shooting at many mobs in front of you will do better than arrow rain...(if spread shooting in front, almost non coordinated; arrow rain = coordinated skill) or at least move the coordinated spot as the mob moves like magic arrow or lances
