easier with a melee btw. you stay 0m beside boss and do short combos. the only thing to dodge is the small red aoe. boss runs away a little when doing the blue linear attack so you have time to move in a safe place. i use cf when solo but ktn when in a party.

This tonfa might be the best mage weapon atm for knux mages xD
But 24 Crit Dmg sure is regretable without the normal means of using crit gears...Doesnt Two-handed have a crit rate buff? Would a pure Knux only work?

 

You can still use crit gears. 100% crate reduction only affects the base stat, not flat crit from gear. Most people using the Tonfas will be using TKick and HeavySmash (if armor break procs) anyway *Need to secure 50 crit to make perfect tkick which is pretty easy to achieve. Unless you're lucky and roll a bunch of crit AVA, perfect crit won't be much achieveable unless you're willing to drop your stability with berserk or drop some cdmg and use meikyo for one skill

 

oh no I still haven't found my Supercostero. Gave up on it and using fireworks.

 

Dumb question, will having Crit % gear help alleviate the 100%-crate?
Like if you have a piece of gear w 15%crate, will the reduction now be -85%crate?

should be 100% + with meikyo and full crit gear. thats already over as the - 100% crit only removes your base 25 crit.

Remember that Meikyo only works for one skill or your auto attacks.

If using md knuck, dont need to worrya bout ampr.

If using other style knuck that doesnt have maximizer, meikyo will be best invested as a finisher so you can ampr.

 

Does battle skill crit up add up to your base crit? Or works separately? It will be useless if it counts as one base crit

 

Btw, knuckles add half weapon attack to matk. I don't think the magic blade tree would increase this as its only for swords... but despite that, this weapon is still the biggest boost to matk for an impact brawler.

Yes, When I was pure int knuck with old knucks, I was hovering around 2000matk.

With 200 Int stat and these new tonfas, I'm around 1700 MATK. That should trasnlate to about 20k impact dmg for more monsters.

 

Once I get some spina to get my magic warrior book, I'm gonna reset my int knuck XD

 

Flat is always added at the end after the %.

 

I think dagger sub would work then
Having high aspd, mail breaker should proc often for mp
Have one combo for meikyo and another for dps
Snag breaker and attacker
Venena dagger also has good evad i think along with +10 crit (2 less than vulcan shield but more options with dagger)

Are you sure it doesn't work for knucks? The skill description says as long as you sub md(although they did lie about red tear e.e)
