Blacksmith skill stuck

I am stuck at lvl 16 on my bs skill.
I have tried making everything that I can and it says that it is to easy to gain any experience.

Is there a trick or am I missing something?
My char is a mage and is mostly an Int build.
5 points on refine equipment
6 points on create equipment
1 point on novice anvil
1 point on process material
1 point on customize equipment

 

If you're told the recipe is too easy to gain any proficiency, you'll need to pick a different recipe.

Thanks Sicarian, I have tried every recipe that is available and am getting the same message.
Does the proficiency go up when doing other operations? Like refine equipment?
I will look at the guide you linked and hopefully find some detail I have missed.

 

I had the same problem... From my understanding, dex and tec stats help you raise your difficulty level to unlock more difficult gear which level up proficiency faster.

So try getting some gear for smithing with higher dex on it.

Im still learning smith too so i might be wrong but that is the impressions i got from reading guides

 

Mostry, it would appear that you are correct.

I made another char that is pure dex build and dressed them out in dex gear. This put my proficiency 10 points over my base to start and it has just gotten higher with the more dex I put in the stats.

Says:
1. 2 Tech Points – 1 Difficulty Level
2. 6 Dex Points – 1 Difficulty Level
3. 1 Proficiency – 1 Difficulty Level
Are the exact numbers for boosting difficulty

 

Need tech to go throught 15-20 idk why pep give u the speech and dont say it directly xD
