Nah, halberd can tank. Atm I'm building one although sadly most knight skills i cant use

 

They cant. They literally have the lowest aggro out of any class they also have the suckiest mp regeneration you will never be able to hold aggro against snipers in long runs you will run out of mp. I already tried and failed 3 times trying to make a halberd tank.

They have fastest mp regen by mp charge, 1h shield can compare only if they got 70-80ampr and power wave.

Thats just a semi dps char with high survival .-. Tank = can hold aggro for me. My mage can hold aggro better than halberd even if I just used arrows and storm.

 

Any pure sniper (not fu) that uses the long combo with smoke shot and no sneak atk got 3times the aggro of a punish ray using halberd, cant count if it uses support skills spam like war cry or sanc coz I can just have my staff tank equip a halberd for that to be possible.
It could be possible if strike stab was 4mp but then they will lose all the dps that they are so good at.
I tried dive impact but it has such a disappointing damage for a 4mp skill I always ended up removing it from the combo

 

My staff tank can equip any weapon including halberd and hold aggro better than you. I didnt mean I failed building it personally when I said that, the build itself is not worth trying. Tell me one thing that you can get by equipping halberd that you cant by any other weapon.

 

Halberd tanks are pretty good since they can do a lot of damage and tank at the same time, and as far as aggro is concerned, all you have to do is equip an arrow, and use a combo like: Flash Stab> Smoke Dust (save)> Sanctuary (consecutive)> Strike Stab (smite)> Moeba Shot (swift) (1mp, +1300 aggro). but the only reason they aren't favorable for the job is because they can't do a good job at attack interruption, and they can't move away from red-area attacks easily, which are both necessary for a proper tank.

 

That is true, but but then you have to sacrifice your crit rate for g.rate&g.power equips, which would of course lead to a low hit rate.

 

They have the worst mp recovery among all classes. They will run out and eventually lose aggro in a long gem run, thats their biggest problem.

I use aggro gears coz aggro generation depends on net stability I need to compromise that with aggro% as I cant have full wifi all the time. 3 people use a 3mbps net at the same time here.
If I had that I wouldnt need aggro% either, its not like skills like sanctuary, war cry or provoke have higher aggro depending on weapon, person with the fastest combo will win in that case.
About guard rate/power that high is not really needed for any boss other than zolban nm thats the only place I would ever consider risking loss of p def and staff mp charge. Unless they release more bosses that do giant physical hits instead of giant magic hits.
