Angelus: MAX DPS MAGE [Staff + Shield Build] (Lv110 Cap)

I want to ask, how many MP in Mage Angelus have you?
I just had 700MP course it did I use Xtal MP100 at all Equip. is there another way to add it again?

 

Am i doing something wrong? Currently at level 71 with 99 skill points so i can't complete all the required skills for warmage. Stats point is 178 and i put them all on INT. Current HP is 2275 with max HP Boost plus lvl 5 f.shield and m.shield. the equipments are blacksmith crafted (oracle robe, cat-ear hood, relief shield, philosopher ring) and only the ring is slotted. But i haven't got the MoD yet.

My mage still find it difficult to survive sometimes. Could you please tell me how you can tank DG at lvl 55 when the required skill points and stat points aren't enough yet?

My warmage build got 1088MP at level 71. I use the blacksmith crafted equipment with no slot except the philosopher ring. The equipment are: oracle robe, relief shield, cat-ear hood, philosopher ring, water staff.

 

Part of the setting is using Roga xtal on your armor, and you can also use Vita Plus II, with this you'll have an extra 2k hp, this is how I could tank DG at Lv55 plus multiplying my defenses with Gloria while my first heavy storm combo was dealing damage. And I'd suggest getting all the SP emblems so you can also max Force Shield and Magic Shield.

Yeah, i really need to complete my emblems first. But mastering skills to lvl 10 need more skill points. I already complete the rookies emblems (or missing 1-2 maybe) so maybe just have to lvling first now -_-

Anyway, since im using oracle robe do i still need the heavy armor mastery skill? I haven't took that skills for now and planning to max out the f.shield and m.shield first if it's not really necessary with oracle robe

 

Focus on the skills that are in your combo first, then on the defensive skills like the shield passives. You can leave the mastery as the final skill or instead of it spend 9 SP on martial skill tree and turn it to Angelus. Any path you choose, the build can be completed. You just need to hunt down all the SP.

from the stats of my mage (lv80) without shield skills i have
160def
600 mdef
so with shield skills they will increase.

in the end the stats will be like this:
+3.6k hp
+1.1/1.2k mp
+1.1/1.2k matk
+190def
+600mdef
+190cspd

Tell me your opinion on this build, im not sure if someone posted about this before.

i might change to the build i listed above for more survivability if it was good.

 

i know thats possible but you know not everyone can get xtals and spina fast ,your gears are sure expensive and im broke person here , all i do is farming bosses but 4 months passed with no boss/mini boss xtal dropped for me.
about high mp , some bosses have random aoe atks that always flinch tumble or stun and having 1k mp isnt enough if you keep getting flinched , i dont have enough spina to buy matk xtals so im just using mp+100.
im growing slowly thats all xD but i can do things other players cant do.

 

can you tell me your current gear set with refinement lv and xtals please?
im always thinking of survivability and forget about my attack lol

 

My spina never went above 50k yet, and funding my mage made my spina drop to 30k now XD. I can't afford expensive gears atm, so i'm using blacksmith equipment.
How you put your stat point for your mage? All INT?

The gear i'm using now
Water Staff / Metal Wings (monster drop)
Oracle Robe (BS)
Cat-ear Hood (BS)
Philosopher Ring (+4, given by player)
Relief Shield (BS)
And i'm having about 1800 - 2250 HP and 900 - 1100+ MP depends on the weapon i'm using. All stat points go to INT and currently i'm lvl 77.

Any idea how much it cost (spina) to build a mage with your equipment set?

 

Yes, all INT until stat capped.

No, that's not my equipment set. I don't have good gears.
The ones I listed are just the optimal for the build.

 

I used to put some points on DEX, but then i didn't notice any decent improvement so i reset them to all INT and follow the guide ^^;

Agree. I'm not really a hardcore gamer as i only play on my spare time and aim for having fun. I didn't aim for the best player but i still need some good equipment and techniques to survive and doing solo as much as i can. But the most important for me is having fun.

Oh and i agree about the cat-hood, i found them the best option for now

Sonic Wave must be on Lv4 so that it becomes an 8 meters cast, just like your Storm. Lv5 is unnecessary.
And M. UP makes such a low difference that it doesn't matter on the Angelus build, getting Protection, Aegis, Mini-heal and Sanctuary are the next goals of the build. Why? Because they let you tank smoothly Giant Knight (I did it yesterday) and future mini-bosses, thing which Magic UP doesn't let you.
