Heyo, it's my first try on making a guide. So please be nice, lol

I'm gonna share my way of dyeing gears (armor especially) using a player chemist. Why use player chemist when you can use Sofya's? Because it's FREE, that's why.

As you might have known, that we're able to lock 2 aspects of our gears when synthesizing with 50+ Alchemy proficiency. So, I'm gonna show you how to synth armor from the basic to the intermediate level using only 2 locks, and save yourself some spina to give to your loved ones. :p

(Notes: Using Pure Tech Chemist is recommended, because tech raises success rate on synthesizing.)

    Basic of Armor Syntesizing (App+Stats)

The Basic of armor synthesizing is to 'fuse' 2 armor to make a new armor. Like when you want to wear Santa Suit (get on the hype train!) but don't like the stats, and you want an Ooze armor stats instead.

    What you have:
    A. Santa Suit (app only)
    B. Ooze (stats only)

    You can 'fuse' them:

Santa Suit (lock app) + Ooze (lock stats) = Profit.

    One Color Dyeing (App+Stats+1 Color)

Now, by using dyes in synthesizing, you can also make the app have another color than the regular app. I won't tell you where to find a particular dye, there's a lot of guide for that already. But basically a dye is a gear with irregular color, and you can see a color icon on the details of the gear. Armor have 3 color slots, people usually call them A, B, and C, such as Black A, or Dark Gray B, or White C.

Now the synthesizing part is the same with usual armor synthesizing, just that now you have 2 aspects (app and stats) and colors to lock.

Now If you're a risk taker u might want to just 'fuse' the armor you want to use (stats and app) with your dye (or dyes for that matter) and lock whatever 2 aspects u wanna keep and hope for t** **st (the best. Sorry, I thought this was Toram).

But if you're more like me, especially when dealing with rare dyes or app that you really don't wanna farm again, maybe this method's for you, even though this method is taking more time to do. But hey, anything for certainty and result with no chance for failures.

If you want to dye your Santa Suit with Black A for example (still on the hype train).

    What you have:
    A. Santa Suit A (app and stats u want, no dye)
    B. Dye Armor (dye u want to use)

The way is to find another Santa Suit (the stats doesn't matter), we'll call it Santa Suit B

First, you'll need to work on dye armor and Santa Suit B:

Dye Armor (lock dye) + Santa Suit B (lock app) = Santa Suit C (dye and app, no stats)

    As the finishing attack:

Santa Suit A (lock stats) + Santa Suit C (lock dye) = Santa Suit D (app, stats, and dye)

You might have noticed by now that, when both armor you synth have same appearances or other similar aspects, you'll get those aspects in your resulting armor whether you lock them or not.

That was how you synth an armor with 1 dye.

    Two Colors Dyeing (App+Stats+2 Colors)

For two colors dyeing, it's better to leave stats to be the last to put in your armor, so u won't waste too many dyes in the process.

    What you have:
    A. Santa Suit A (app and dye A)
    B. Santa Suit B (app and dye B, you know already how to make them)
    C. Santa Suit C (app and stats)
    D. Santa Suit D (app and another dye B)

What u need to do is to choose whether you want to prepare more dye A or dye B, it's really up to you, but in this guide I'll prepare more dye B to use. You wouldn't want to use more Black A than Dark Gray B right?

    First:

Santa Suit A (lock dye A) + Santa Suit B (lock dye B) = Santa Suit AB (app and AB dyes)

    Second:

Santa Suit C (lock stats) + Santa Suit D (lock dye B) = Santa Suit CD (app, stats, and dye B)

    and, finally:

Santa Suit AB (lock dye A) + Santa Suit CD (lock stats) = Ultra Santa Suit (app, stats, and AB dyes)

So this process took 4 Santa Suits, 1 A dye, 2 B dyes.

This method can be used for 3 dyes too, but you get the gist already.
Note this: It might take a lot of time for farming the dyes and the apps, but hey, better than to use 1 million spina for dyeing right?

i'm kinda new to this game
can i ask if i get a dye armor (which came from boss or normal mons.) which is untradable
how can i transfer the dye to the tradable armor?
i already have adv. garb (tradable) and untradable scale armor (white & green dye)
i also have 70 alche. with pure tech + alchemist max skill tree

What makes a gears tradable are the stats so u need to lock the tradable stats and the dye, or better yet, lock 2 dyes and hope for the best on the stats, lol, since trash armors are easy to get.
