looking for advice on dps mages.

What type of build should I be going for since I went with DEX instead of like VIT

 

Well you also have Luck as your personal stat, which implies farming and should mean you shouldn't have any DEX. But if you leave your LUK at 1, then you can be basically anything except a super tanky mage.
"Should" depends on what you want. If you want to tank sometimes without needing high HP crystals and gear, then probably a shield build. If you like tanking, you could go with about 60 VIT and maybe more at higher level caps, but if you don't care about being able to tank harder things then invest in a little VIT (20-40, but every point of VIT does something, so no need to be any exact number) and put the rest in DEX (and secondary stats should always be after 255 INT unless LUK farmer or dedicated tank who wants VIT earlier). If you only like damage and hate having bosses after you, then dagger or arrow mage. Look up builds for both if interested.

 

HF is holy fist from priest skill tree.
its a common skill used for opener or closer in combo
why hf :
1. bec hf is fast motion (faster than any 1 mp skill),
2. no flinch/tumble (so it can be used for any boss out there),
3. short range ( you can cancel its motiont when you use it after long range skill)
