Road to main support.

Konichiwa minna-san, I am Akaiha and I am still very new to game. I have a build in mind even before I download this game as I built similar build in other RPG. So here is what I intended to do:

-High evasion character (survivability)
-buffer or debuffer skill
-healing skills
-passive skills is welcome too! :3

Can anyone help me be good supporter in game? What class should I start with? Thank you! :3

Support tree requires Evasion and a good bit of dodge to go along with it.

Weapon choices are
- Magic Device (INT + AGI)
- Knuckles (WEAK) (AGI + VIT)

Hello! I'm not sure if you're going for a hybrid type, but for full support people usually use a mage. The Priest skill tree gets an added bonus for using a staff and I think kunckles.
Brawlers are the fastest class using knuckles, with AGI as the main stat. I haven't seen a lot of AGI/staff users. If you do go the magic user route, maybe try MD, as Grim said. MD can work with AGI.
If you want to experiment, have some fun! They give you 3 character slots free, a free reset book (for stat points) and a book of oblivion (to redo skills).

Evasion doesn't work unless you are holding aggro. Are you going to tank too?

You wont need evasion if you are not tanking. Also most of the main support skills get removed if u get hit so its tough to tank and support together.

You can add evasion and flee for that but it doesnt work on aoes well which means you will indeed get hit a few times.

I suggest dont try to make something that worked well on other games as toram works very differently.

Thank you all for the feedback :3 the reason why I want to go evasion is because I want dodge attack in case I get hit, I am not tanking, I just want to survive. I will be running around dodging, but at the worse case I get hit, I can still evade xD sorry for misunderstanding. Thank you for the link too!! :3

 

The only time you will get hit by attacks is by aoes if you are not tanking and 99% of these aoes are unevadeable undodgeable if you dont move away from them. You will have to dodge manually so evasion and dodge is no good.

Evasion triggers a counter attack, so it can only activate against your target monster, not against attacks from others.
Dodge doesn't need a target, so it works against all attackers.
Magic Damage can't be avoided, though.

You can always try something different
You can still make support without evasion with something like full int equip with staff as theres a skill whose healing scales with int and matk. Having matk means you can do damage too.

I myself have discarded like more than 10 builds in the past as they couldnt work as I wanted. Dont give up its not like you have invested spina on it yet.
