But I thought you couldn't tame mini bosses?
How do you have a caspy.?
Edit: also don't you have to be higher leveled than the mob to tame it? So I'll have to be level 77+ to tame it? My main is higher leveled but I can't afford using SPs on taming skills on it...

My pet is a cassy. I did pet fusion and dyed it.
No u dont have to be higher lvl than mob to tame it. U can tame it when u are 10 lvls below it if u maxed ur capture technique 1 and 2 skills.
U dont have to catch a pet urself. Alternative ways includes buying pet taming services where u pay others to catch a specific stat for u or buy them from the consignment ^^

 

Sadly you cant just dye a yeti and name it mochelo, maybe a mochelo jr.

 

Oh I see. I can buy them but I feel it's more fun tryna Catch it yourself. Also you said that I'll have to be a dagger mage for the build. But I already have a dps mage. So my question is, can I make a full luk+pet summoner mage? Would be really cool.
Also the max level of the mob changes after fusing it? Like cassy's are level 47 or something when you catch em right? So it'll increase once I fuse?

 

Yes u can use full luk pet summoner mage. Just get the dps pet only skill as stated in the guide.

The max lvl of mobs might increase or decrease. U have to lvl the mob before u fuse. If u fuse them right away, the max lvl that ur fused pet can go to is lvl 2 only.

Formula to calculate the max lvl of ur fused pet:
Pet A + Pet B divide by 2 and then +1.
For example u lvled 2 pets.
1 pet to 50, 1 pet to 60
50 + 60/2 + 1 = 56
After u fused them, u will get a lvl 56 max lvl pet. U have to lvl the new pet all the way up to 55 again.

U dont have to get cassy cuz i only get that for looks. I took months to fuse it. In fact i lvled exactly 18 pets just to increase cassy's lvl to current lvl. I suggest to just get a high max lvl pet (highest lvl currently is manticore or the wooly in new map), lvl both of them to 100+ And then fuse the once and for all.

Edit: also, would like to add that inheritance skills cannot be lvled up after u fused the pet. So u have to lvl ur 2 pets skills to max lvl before u fuse. (Cuz alot of ppl fused without knowing this and ended up with a low lvl skill.)

 

So you can fuse a fused pet too? Like keep on fusing it over and over again?

 

Yes over and over but ull get tired of it xD haha doing the same thing over and over

Btw..what level is your current Cassy?
And if I just fuse em once...won't it be weaker than a pet who is fused a lot of times?

PS iam only level 84 so tell me someplace where I wouldn't get one hit koed by the mobs

 

Only reason why i fuse alot is cuz i want to make the lvl of cassy higher. It started at such a low lvl. The power doesnt affect my pet( its complicated haha alot of things going on so ill skip the explaination part). 1 fuse is good enough to get high bonus stat points as long as ur pet is high lvl.

 

Oh well. Time to buy a manticore I guess.
Also my current pet (which Someone tamed for me coz why not) is a ghost potum which says "magic attacker" but has a bow as his weapon. I had no idea what to do so gave him INT training and pumped INT on him till level 38 and he does around 30k damage(did 40 once) with magic Lance. Is that good?

 

Hmm bow is not bad. 30k damage at lvl 38 is great :3 Btw what is ur pet's nature?
Calculations for matk on bow (pet)
1 int = 3matk
1 dex = 1matk

The best weapon for a magic pet would be staff, md or knuckles.
1 int = 4 matk
1 dex = 1matk

Maybe next time u can fuse a second time to get staff/md/knuckles if u want the best damage.

Iam thinking of getting a ghost potum as my pet(like my final pet to use in boss fights).
My current pet iam just training for fun because it's nature isn't on of the aoe avoiding kinds, so it dies during boss runs
Also I haven't fused it even once yet, and I have it 100% discipline BEFORE giving skill training so I messed up a bit there xD
Also I wanna get a pet EXACTLY like yours (damage wise), so if it won't take like 10 pages, could you tell me what skills to get and how?
Oh and yesterday a random vanilla potum wandered into my land yey :3
Edit: Suppose I tamed 4 ghost pots.
I get one with sturdy/sly/AOE avoiding nature and rest all random. I get one with bow, one with knuckles, one with staff and another bow. So I first have to max level all of them. And then I fuse two of them together (get the aoe nature). Then I fuse the remaining two(Get the staff). So now I how two already fused potums. And then I fuse THEM(after leveling and stuff.) Is THIS how it works?

 

Nice! Ghost potum is a good choice since its high lvl and cute :3
A pet like mine, u only need to get Raging blow(if u want ur pet to be doing physical damage) OR Magic Lance (magical). How to get? Its random haha. U can choose the first skill on pet but 2nd and 3rd skill is random. So u jus gotta pray that u get it xD
Yes, u have to plan very carefully which pet u gonna fuse tgt and which nature/weapon/type to lock to get the final outcome that u want.
And yes, u MUST only fuse them after u lvled them. Or else ur new pet gonna have max lvl 2 only xD

Just an example, this was my planning on which to lock to get my final outcome: MD/MATK/JUSTICE
Maybe u could do the same to make sure 100% that u will get the result u want :3
I named all my pets in alphabets so i dont get confused haha.

 

Here is a pet fusion idea: (all pets must be lvl capped)
Have 1 lucky pet that only have the corner skill of your choice. Max out that skill before fusion. Fuse it to a pet with only stat training (like all int or all dex for bowguns)
Rinse, repeat, power up! Since inherited skill is maxed out and cant be upgraded you can only focus on stats for more damage of skills. Plus you filter out all othere skills you dont want your pet having (more stat training points ftw) i wonder if the attack power will be affected if a pet dont have a skill.

So, what you guys think?

Yes my pet matk because it uses magic skill Magic: LANCE

 

Yup thats exactly what i did before :3 u will still get power from lvling up even if u dont have skill
