New to this forum and game. What to know which class is the best DPS and survivability.

So many replies! Thanks so much guys Wasn't expecting half as many lol I went with a swordsman. As a beginner class he seemed to have the most damaging skills and normal attack Would a 1h swordsman be better than 2h swordsman? Damage wise I mean. I'm only level 24 so if there is a better class with more damaging skills or normal attack then let me know and I'll try it out

 

Damn seen some archers on YouTube! That snipe skill does unbelievable damage! 200+k damage! How come no one mentioned a sniper build?

 

one word- survivability. while there are survival variants, usually a sniper is about as squishy as an ant in your backyard.
Imo if you want a DPS build with survivability, go shield mage. starlight potions can solve the flinching problem(kinda), or just put the shield to use and stun before you cast. fus,2h and halberds are also good stuff. IMO the ideal all rounders would be shield mages and dual wields.
anyways, if you are not sporting considerably high resistances(or dodge and/or evasion), bosses can easily hack off 5k HP from you.

 

But if he kills a boss before it squishes him then he wins

Quick question. Can an archer use any of the blade skills? I doubt it but have to know lol

Simple normal atk, simple combos, quite nimble

prolly 2h , fus and halberd

mage doesnt really have that highest numbers when dps-ing but they can sure 'steal' attacker rank due to proration.

 

So 2h is pretty dangerous eh?

 

you want the guys who can rake up the big numbers? I'd suggest Staff fu or Halberd. after that 2h and snipers
oh yeah and between staff and sword fu, right now sword fu does little less damage, but in the long run(a.k.a when we can fill both STR and DEX) sword fu wins.
2h have supersonic blade for DPS, or you could just go with a standard tempest build, whatever appeals to you, and the snipe skill, which is ranged DPS, and if you are using bowgun maybe you can make something like a paladin archer, as you have only one attack boosting stat

I don't understand staff fu. Why be a mage if you're just going to become mostly martial? Why not just be martial and maybe add a spell or two? How does staff fu do highest DPS? Is it the spells that do the damage or the martial?

u see staffu open up way of prorate (magic before deal physical). and...
instead of 5-7 sec mp charge, with staff it will be 3 sec.

mostly dmg from trip and from heavy smash
