Garyou Tensei worthless?

Devs be like : "I heard you put effort into that, lemme ruin it"

better if you use a non garyou combo first stacking mononofu skills then use garyou combo. im using cheap 1s crit and no unsheathe gear and can still do 450k with a b weapon with no element and only 6 mononofu skills stacked with my current setup

I use zantei as save so when armor break procs, garyou does a lot of damage. lvl 10 recovery is a godsend to counter the ignite buff. you get the mp you used back as well.

katana still dishes out lots of damage but on different conditions. its a technical class

every normal attack of katana is unsheathe, and most skills are unsheathe.
but just because that one skill at the end of the tree is not unsheathe, you must discard all your unsheathe stats immediately.
the game is completly ruined now and katana is the most useless weapon ever.
better quit now before you regret it later.

 

Well people will always focus on the skill that do more damage but maybe not the best option.Depends of the skill that do more damage in a certain amount of time

 

for me it doesnt matter much whether or not its unsheathe (it still can deal a large amount)
but when u have to do like 10 friggin atk skill+ 4 tenryu to deal maximum output
and all of them in a very short time (30sec)
im pretty sure, when u r in a pt, the other 3 different classes have kicked the boss arse :v
while u r still busy fullfiling the "demand of garyou"

 

if the boss dies in less than 30s, then you don't need a party

 

The pt will kick your arse out as well coz you are spamming too much and making it take long.

Not possible to kill + full break both in less than 1min while soloing.

 

u will really need to find a hard to kill boss to main garyou
so that u will be at least a little more useful to pt
else ur katana will be worse than support ( support is good ofc)

cast recovery before first combo. if recovery is lvl 10, you get back 1mp after kairiki on first combo.

issen, hasso(save), meikyo(cons), kairiki(swift), tenryu(swift),normal atk, tenryu, normal atk, tenryu.

pulse, zantei(save),meikyo(cons), quick aura(swift), impact(cons), garyou(smite), 1mp ender(swift).

10 skills and if you time zantei, also will armor break for garyou bonus. im running a crit build btw so meikyo are just fillers

 

I will sell my 2 odelon xtals for 6.5m ... coz my katana now is suck.

 

why force yourself to use lvl 4 skills btw when lvl 3 skills when geared with unsheathe can rival or even out damage lvl 4 skills of other classes?

 

I can only imagine the boss fights :

Katana : *starts using 10 skills, prepares to guard break, usesuses ki... *
*boss dead*
Katana : the FUDGE?!
Bow aand Mage : oh, sorry... Were we suppose to wait for you?

I know, tested my full dmg on stinger and it takes me 2 finales with my int mage and my katana does almost, even less, than the 2 finales. And it takes time to set it up. I only have 3 skill trees ( mononofu lv 4 magic lv 3 for impact.and survival lv2) and a bkod katana with a fail armor with non xtal. Oh and a snowmans head for hp

 

I was playing as a tank on zahhak hard mode, in a party with a bow user lvl 120+ and a Mage 150.
We were full breaking and killing the boss in something around 30-40 seconds, the Mage guy was killing with 2 combos... the combo was like "random skill+impact+ finale" . If we have 1 more person maybe this can be faster too... now for fast boss runs, katana cant beat the others.
