it works. i was on 506 atk without sword mastery skill, but when i put lvl 5 sword mastery skill, my atk became 522, basically it boosts your attack when you have a 1h or 2h equipped as main, and basically dual wield only lets you equip another 1h as a sub weapon.

 

Is dualweilder cn also upgrade cri?

hey not a stupid question at at all XD
for me, i do notice a change but sometimes it just gets a bit wonky because that's just how the graphics are. but do take into account that the description it self states that it will only work for "certain" skills. so in other words, it may/may not work lmao.
so it's up to you if you wanna add it or not, but if you decide not to, maybe you can invest those skill points in other areas to beef up your build.

 

when i first switched from 1h to dw i still used my 1h skills and it worked out perfectly. trying to lvl up quickly to get back astute

 

Everyones so focused on dw to be a dps.. But has anyone ever considered it to be a tank? Even though tanks arent really that useful.. I mean look, damage wise.. Not able to compete with arch 2h mage or even 1h. But survivablitiy.. Could be as good as a tank considering you need agi for eva/dodge. But im just saying.

 

Most player's tank build focuses on "Guard" or physical and/or magical defence. It's rare a tank's defense main style is dodge & evasion.

When dodge and evasion procs, the tank may lose aggro. If so, this works against the basic functionality of a tank - to hold aggro and keep attacks away from party members.

I think DW may be in a better position to be a Breaker - utilising 1H's Hard Hit to flinch, as well as DW's own Parry skill to tumble.

 

But isnt there some sort of taunt skill for tanks to get aggro off pt members

 

halo, my dw guide is not meant to dps actually, this guide speacialises in utilising the agi build to increase survival in game. to make solo-ing easier.
you can still build a tank w agi/dodge/evasion chars, it's just uncommon. i personally think that agi/dodge/evasion are best tanks. cant wait for my brawler to reach max level.

 

Yes, there is - Provoke. Rage sword too, maybe? I'm not familiar with tank's skills though.
With that skill, tanking can work, but you have to spam Provoke more often.

 

what do you think about Parry skill?
and this combo : HH + astute + twin slash + sword rage?
i want to build this kind of DS after i delete my 2nd brawler

 

i've made an evade tank DW.
around 90 agi
agi evade stats on armor
dex atk% on main
fw cape with FW xtal

maxed out evasion skill on battle skills
and light armor mastery.

evades most of the time, but not really viable.

The DW's skill set is built around dps. Passive that increases crit and attack speed, Godspeed, enhances first attack and evade attack damage.
Twin slash that increases Crit Damage, Spin Slash that is purely DPS skill.
Parry i think is a skill used for countering boss skills. if you play LoL, you could see that it's similar to Fiora's Parry. and Charging slash is a gap closer skill combo'd witheither spin slash.

 

Hey Cypherian, do you mind sharing your skills build? I base my build on hotcake's, 1:1 Dex/Agi. Skills points seems to be lacking. I can't even spare enough SP to start on Battle Skills.

I also didn't learn Charging Slash & Spin Slash. I feel Spn Slash's D.O.T dmg is very low. Of cuz I only used lv 1 back then. Can you share more on Spin Slash too?

Ah, no wonder! I also learnt 1H blade skills. HH for flinching, Astute for crit buff & Trigger for ampr. So 30 SPs there.

 

i didn't take 1h skills since i was aiming for an evade tank. by putting 1h skills it means i am still building dps. so i made it to remove 1h skills. damage is low. but evade attacks hurt
