why everyone just thirst of power equipment?

Crit gears are the best gears? Since when did that happen? I was introduced to those stats as being the most general and flexible stats for physical dps characters. Being a bow user myself it hurts to add vit on your stats unlike that of mages and 2h (really, 2h add vit youre melee for effing sakes) So only way for most dps characters to survive is to kill the boss faster and supplying the lack in hp with crytas (iconos+cerabes+golden iconos+ deniala for a whooping 5k increase in hp...oh nevermind i forgot that im broke) and drugs.
Using npc/boss drop gears like mozt armor and fortuita is also decent but will really hurt youre effectiveness as a damage dealing character.
In the end learning boss patterns, refining gears and manually timing healing items (yes put it on shortcuts too) are the only effective ways to survive a bit more as a dps....Oh and a good tank and support will always allow you to be a glass cannon so fvck it go have 1k hp and deal those million damage XD

 

There's a way to do lots of damage and survive still with crit gear

Its their stat and xtal choice

Melee characters really need to consider vit

 

you cant always get the pt you hope.
lot of guide just say use that gear. so lot newbie players not even thinking how they survive. if they born with CCCC equipment on bag maybe that another story. so they just think to get all armor give attack or crit option. we are still grow not veteran player.
( this my experience : go some random pt 2hand and katana full damage gear build ask me. way they always left the pt. i m bow user. i told them cuz u on the front line cant even survive and the back line have hard time to survive and revive the front line) same lvl as me and not even have tier 4 skill. they dont event have gear +s but not think about survive to that why this theard i give that name

I find the public melee classes funny when most of the parties I've joined they just dropped dead from one or two normal attack from bosses. Like, seriously?

And what's worse is when everyone chickens out and you have to tank the boss with your ranged character's puny hp but still survives way longer than your other party members if they accidentally took the aggro, and you just have to sacrifice your own dps for the sake of letting them live a little longer.

If they're farming a boss like York at hard I wouldn't consider them newbie, just idiots ._.

They should know how bosses work by now at least on a basic level
You can earn enough to get those gear by selling minoskin/antideg, you can do gemruns or perform other services

Everything in this game requires investment of some sort

If they opt not to invest then they're idiots

More fault to them if they don't get some time to get the gear

Instead of york hard they should be farming Lalvada if they're poor and don't have equipment (your screenshot had York so I used that as an example)

Dont take comments negatively. You can take them as a challenge or just brush it off and continue with how you play the game after all its your character do what you want. Its an open world with no predetermined class system. Were all free from the moment we started the game.

 

Kinda off topic now but it's basically using a gem that increases base drop rate for better drop rate of rare drops like xtal and of course you have to pay or unless you're the gem holder

 

Gemrun is joining a party with someone who had a super rare drop gem, legend, glory or ultimate gem

You pay them (usually inside boss fight room) when they activate the gem

The gems increase the BASE drop rate of ALL equipment (including xtal)
