How was your game progress since 2015?

    Wall was the farming master race!!! and when tier3 was released everyone still doubted if storm will be an effective farming tool...

    I've only been playing Toram since last year but i've met quite a few veterans that started when it first came out and talked about their experience back then. It was apparently way more simpler back then, less biased, and people didn't bash each other as much for being weak when 3rd jobs wasn't even released yet. People have actually tried using all "classes" even healer and coming up with all kinds of builds/hybrid builds without being judged. Nowadays people are only focused on the main strongest DPS builds and it kinda makes it boring :confused:

    I personally would have loved to play Toram during this time as it creates more of a better interactive experience among players :c

    I'm from 2015...

    In the beginning, progress was slow and meaningful. Equipment variation was present, but not game breaking. Balancing issues were minimal... unless you were knuckles, then that was a sour time...and probably still is .

    Then they released new classes, skills and half-assed story updates that basically ruined the dynamic and in-depth world of Toram.

    Katana, DW tier 4, Halb have become the cornerstone of the game now. And it feels rather dull because of it.

    2015 really was an amazing time for Toram, since it felt like a really well made MMORPG with amazing systems in place. Over time though, this ended up being a trap since the developers knew what they would make and it would systematically ruin a lot of the builds at the time.
    Every weapon had a clear niche but also was good enough at the other jobs to make things feel more balanced, and the equipment at the time reflected this diversity. Hell, even DW was great since it was an add on to Swords that people can do if they wanted. I always felt like DW was meant to be just an extension of 1h sword with some extra skills to use and have for utility. Though with demands of t4 I feel like it's lost that initial wonder it had, with Charging Slash for good reposition and extra DPS and also Spinning for ailment and knockback. (The t3 skills I felt were also really good too)
    The game was slow in a good way, not exactly a grinding way, but more of a progression of getting what you WANT instead of what you NEED. Socially nowadays you need to grind to get something (like money for player made equips and boss drops) because it's whats accepted by parties. Back then if you wanted to get Magic Crystal Armour you can grind it, but we didnt care if you did or not.

    For me, it has felt like being an old man trying to come to terms with technological and societal change. I was one of the few goobers back in the day that thought crit stats were useless, and that crit build should just focus on raising their ATK instead. Let's just say I was wrong. I also didn't really like it when decoy started becoming popular with non bow/bowgun builds, but with my past experience in mind I gave it a try a lot sooner and could see why it was becoming the meta.

    i remembered back then spina has more puchasing power that having 1-2m is considered a rich guy. And the demands of quest items for lvling for the latest cap.

    more recently toram has gotten pretty boring, probably because i am waiting for the update and have been doing so ever since lil empress (defeated her, waited. new update, waited. new update, wait) it gets annoying i wish the updates came out more often. i mean i know why it tacks time but it annoys me.

    youg ones these days, with their fancy events and monthly updates.
    back in my day, we had to wait 2 months for a quest like "find a drunk merchant in the swamp" and we liked it.

    as we are testing chars, we was more patient. Now that the game have chnaged, and make only few built viable, the only thing we want is to up the builts that are viable.
    Now even tank is been in a bad way, after would be mage ( seem like toram).
    Less things to do, less viable builts, boring faster.

    i started july 2015. community was brand new, everyone was nice n helpful towards each other. we all had a common goal - to figure out the game. nothing was spoonfed to us, we all took the time to grind til we got what we needed and to discover things along the way - we didn't have that thing on the map where it wells u what mobs dropped what. u were considered rich if u had over 1m spinas. now 1m spinas is like nothing. making guides on the forums was actually fun since we had well organized ppl that and a whole community that actually helps out instead of complaining why there isn't a guide. feel like all ppl do is complain these days and whine. n then i'm like well back in the day....farming was a whole lot harder cuz we literally just sat in one place n grind gobs or rutis all day XD...now yal have so many more options....+/- 9 lvl to mobs exp bonus DID NOT EXIST...or stackable quest.... all those extra runs to just turn in quest n return is normal....now if u hv to leave pt to go to city to do w/e...u'd get kicked. community changed, people changed...n sadly thats just the way of life. there's no longer a common goal anymore...

    I consider this game as an anime
    So my status/progress since 2015 is still : Ongoing

    TLDR for 2015 to 2019
    Simpler and lesser things in Toram back then when it first started builds the community well.
    But as things go along throughout the years, Toram's game design and mechanics requires players to understand the both the game and social aspects in a high EQ & IQ way. That's because the game isn't 100% fully transparent in telling you the stats and rates. With that, players take on different beliefs on a wrong is right and right is wrong cases.
    Would say the common problem which made this community I knew dwindle down its cause of *that* frustration to understand why is this game.
    Basically the veterans would explain in detail, but these days, "problems" can be solved with a youtube search away in finding how to make spina, best builds and etc etc.
    I knew for a fact that for one the game will be boring after attaining the best gears because that's literally the end goal for Toram; get Rich, get best builds(s) = finish Toram.
    I would say I enjoyed 2015, 2016 & 2017 for Toram as a whole.
    For me personally what keeps me going is my love for characters from other medias being able to customise and app those charas i want for Toram (cosplay and combat), and Food Buffs.
    Lastly, the thing that saddens me is that those previous years of Toram doesn't apply to the current age of Toram anymore, would love to have that kind of atmosphere back, but all good things have to come to an end at some point.
