"Class Racism"

Some people may just not want to do this and rather stick with their weapons, which is where the issue lies. This is on them, though it appears that people like this have the mentality of "not conforming." This is where I've even made a joke about the "Mage World Order" and this idea of class superiority is where it comes from.
I think that no class should be superior, but that people should understand why mages are widely used for farming regardless of whether or not you want to stick to your weapon.

 

I totally understand where you're coming from my very first character in the game was an archer lol I thought it was amazing and when I noticed it had an aoe I was in heaven or so I thought. As the game went on and started getting older people started to figure out things about it. Soon the class wars started mind you this was about July of 2015 and what started was in reality people were all thinking they themselves knew best and no one else could be right. I admit I was one of those people at first that debated the real usefulness of a mage over an arch but remember this was at a time before storm was even released. So there was a viable argument which was better fixed aoe or targeted aoe aka aoe you can place with having to physically stand on the spot. Now that storm has come and is targeted aoe as well as a puller it's hands down a mage as well as the shorter charge time over a 2h tempest with a longer charge it....it leads to less down time charging. The next war you're gonna see is MD or staff it's already happening lol

I forgot to add one thing....Given the current state of the game and the over population of mages if everyone is smart they would expect to see a boss or even areas highly resistant to magic to throw most people a curveball and encourage people to make other classes....least I would do it if I was one of the toram developers.

 

Well sometimes you can't really blame these ppl coz some mage's are rude and are class racist (sad truth) I mean even if you're a mage but don't have a storm they'd kick you out of the party. But this is still not a reason to be rude.

 

Mind you yes, I will agree there are definitely people out there making unnecessary comments before you're kicked and then there's just the ones that simply kick you. So you have to be clear as to what you mean by rude. If they are just simply kicking you it's not out a desire to be rude to you. The reason is much more simple then that and I'll spell it out to you in one word....productivity. It's really that simple..like you other people only have a limited amount of time to play the game and they want to make the most of that time. In cases like farming let's face it no one sane anyway likes farming/grinding so the least amount of time you have to do it the better. That being said now, that goal is not met with anything less then 4 storm mages at this point in the game. So don't take it personal it's not a fact of being rude it's just a matter of time in reality. All of us have to put in our dues or time at some point and trust me it's like a whole new world opens to you when you get storm at 70 for those starting new accounts. Once you reach that goal and see the power difference for yourself you'll begin to understand why.

 

If people wish to stick with their original characters, and weapons that I do not see why they need to sit there and complain to the people that decide to go with the fastest flow. I believe it's just a sense of immaturity, or internal struggle of Jealousy. It goes like this: you have something more than I do, even though I'm using something that the game has provided me to use, just like you do. Now I'm going to get upset, complain, and make sure everyone knows that I am not happy about the fact that you have more than I do despite the fact that we are both using something to gain has provided us...

At least, that's what I think. People shouldn't complain if they aren't going to go with the natural flow of farming. They should stick to solo farming if it's going to be a problem.

 

True but still wouldn't hurt to say "Hey dude sorry need to kick out we need a stomer kinda in a hurry" Just saying.

 

Seriously, I'm not a mean Person but I must say I am a classist when it comes to grind farming xD
Mages R just made for Mass Mob kill and fast recharge (repeat) as soon as I noticed that I made myself a Mage even tho my first and only love is the Archer class ^^
I made the Mage out of convenience and well...if you wanna lv a none aoe Char just do it like me and do Bossing over and over agdea. xD or Farm with a Mage objects like mmh or nuts to lv up ^^
Just stop complaining over such a thing and make a Mage...it's not much of a big deal and its definitely worth it. Mages R maybe the easiest class to lv ...have always been like that.

 

I can understand a debate but there isn't really reason to take it to insult. Also, an interesting expansion on your idea would be to have at least one boss for each class that is strong against said class (i.e. Swords being weak against Boss 1, Bows being weak against Boss 2, etc.) and this would force people to try out different classes (though I can see flaws with my expansion).

That's part of my thought. If you don't like using mages, being one, or using them for farming, that's okay. Just don't expect insulting those who do to also be okay.

Everyone has their own priorities when playing. People shouldn't complain if you want to farm fast by using mages.

I usually have no problems with a non storm party when using my mage but that's the way I play. I dont mind casual farming but people shouldn't get angry when some players want to farm seriously.

Exception for leeches, I hate leechers and am 100% racist against those players.

 

I'm low-key an asshole about this. Normally if I end up in a party that has other classes I leave. I NEED to farm faster. Why? Oh so I can level up my 2h and get equips for it.
Mage is merely a tool to me

 

When u think about it, it isn't about mages, its about the skill, storm is 1000000x beter for farming then any other skill

 

If Tempest was able to have MP drawn back to it, honestly idk be just as good

People in masses are just morons. It seems that, because they aren't able to do something efficiently, instead of asking for tips or advice, they would rather just bring others who are doing things efficiently, down. Honestly, I started with an Archer and struggled mightily getting it to level 70. But, even though I have a farming Mage now(Thanks Eztreme), I would rather take my Sniper into the important fights.

What most of these people don't understand, is that each class has it's own advantage. With a proper build, like many that are listed in this very forum, you can have a character that easily fits your play style, and one that allows you to take care of what you need to in the game. People keep pointing it out. You get 3 free spots. Surely, one of those can be dedicated to a Storm Farmer. I pitched a fit about not being able to storm, so I made one. Took all of an hour or so to get it to level 70(not counting the time it took to cash in Bitternuts and Nisel Wood).

Yes, storm mages are by far, the most efficient farmers out there. But I would honestly rather be a badass and roll like Precaria, blow things up from a nice safe range outside of a bosses AoE and just take control of a boss fight.

 

True true. It's really all about storm. Storm sucks in enemies.

Yeah youre guys are right, 3 slot is more than enough to make atleast 1 farmer mage. Well backthen i suggest someone to make farmer mage if you wanna get into farming.. but guess what, he or she just get mad and swearing on me. Mann, i mean i just suggesting lol thats all no hard feelings. People this just a game, we just playing by what we know for the best, and were givin you guys a better way from what i learn on my own mistakes.

 

the term "class racism", or similar, should only apply to those who refuse to add any non-storm player to pt
not to all storm mage...
but is it wrong? well...
let's look at it new player's point of view...

low level, trying to get help farming nisel to level up
or a mid lvl (60~65) trying to push lv70
try to find a party, but no luck, because lots of the farming pt only add u if u say "mage lfp"
finally someone invites u, but kicked u straight away because u are not a storm mage, nor have any aoe skills
let's face it...
this can be very frustrating...

fair, an extra storm mage in the pt increases efficiency 10 folds
especially at MMH, this is a fact that no one can argue
however... please remember there are players, who for what ever reason, does not have an mage char
and those people needs our helps too

i was once one of those who gets kicked because i am not an mage
so i made one of my one, even tho i had to buy some gems at the time to open the slot
but it seems to be money well spend
and that is why i don't really care if i am the only mage in the party
as long as the other 3 are not leecher, ofcoz

i don't think it's wrong for mage to not accept an non-mage into party
but it is an rather selfish act non the less...
but that's just my point of view

zenki fellow toram player, please allow me to tell u a little story

when i first started playing i was a totall noob, no one teached me anything
i made a swordman, and a brawler
because i don't like mage class (never played mage in any mmorpg), i didn't think of making one at the time
when my swordman hit about lv00 and brawler around 40 something i found out about DW class
so i made that
that's 3 slots gone

at the start my main exp income was from main quest and farming bosses for item
then i learned about nisel and mmh
so i tried to get pt, i rarely get pt at nisel as DW, and at MMH i have never got pt once...
until one day a mage was nice enough to teach stuff about the game
he also told me how mage skill works, and that its best to make one so i can get party easier, and use that to feed my other char
i didn't have any gems at the time, coz i spend them on avatar and storage slots
i had to buy some to open the extra slot, but it's money well spend now it seems

after i made my mage, i was trying to level it up
even tho i can use wall, but i still got kicked a few time coz i don't have storm
and this happened in nisel...

excuse or complaining...
u got to understand no everyone is pro, or understands how this game works at the start
and for what ever reason ppl might not have gems to open new slot
also bear in mind that, there are those who just will not add you to party unless u can use strom
and i think that is the origin of the term "class racism"...

 

It happened to me alot recently in the international server.. Well I just ignored it. When you say "LFP STORM" aint it automatic that you want a storm party? I mean come on! Why will a stormer settle with a slow party when he/she knows he can find something much better.

I also had this party (not so nice because everyone seems AFKish...) i said in a pure hearted manner "PLEASE BE ACTIVE AND ENJOY..." ....then I GOT KICKED! -_-
