Boss Pets

So me and a few buds were brainstorming ways to incorporate boss pets into toram. Below I will include each of our ideas and I invite you to post yours.

Spoiler: My Idea

☆each weekend there will be a special boss way harder and more technical than normal bosses available 3 times a day for 1 hr each occueance during the weekends (permanent event). For participating in the event you will win a prize which may include a new item called Fragment of Life (not a guaranteed prize)
☆Collect 5 Fragments of Life (not as easy as it sounds)
☆Bring the fragments along with the xtal of the boss you want as a pet to a new npc who has the power to awaken the life force in the fragments if the xtal is present
☆You can choose either the nature or type of the pet [not both]
☆Boss starts with a high affinity
☆Discipline doesnt grow as quickly as other pets (means takes longer to fully discipline but has far greater potential)
☆Pet doesnt tire as quickly
☆Boss pet has unique skills

Spoiler: Zak's Idea

Requirements:
☑️Boss fragments (amount varies per boss)
☑️Boss xtal
☑️1 Million(500k for mini bosses) spina
Drop rate of Boss fragments depends on the mode of difficulty: Easy 1%, Normal 5%, Hard 10%, Nightmare 20%, Ultimate 25%.
Boss fragment and Boss xta will never drop at the same time.
You have to leave it to the concerned npc for at least 24 hours. Stronger bosses will require more time.
Boss pets will only act as back-up and doesnt actually walk with its master. Think arcade. Masters need to fill a gauge to summon their boss pet.
Boss pets has a set of signature moves but it can only learn one. (still debating whether random or not)
Once the Boss pet has performed its signature move, it disappears and the gauge is back to zero.

Spoiler: Isra's Idea

◇Boss Drops a Core on Hard+ Difficulties.
◇Using a number of cores and 1 xtal you make a boss pet
◇Boss Level scales to player level (player is level 20, level 20 pet; level 27, 20 pet; 31, 30 pet) and hatches at easy-mode level of boss

 

I think Isra's idea is best. He's kinda my idol XD

All seriousness these are some idea that we hope people can comment on. Winner is gonna get shoved up Aso's anus that they won't be able to contain the vile leaking fluids of our masculine rage an- oh god what am I saying?!

Yes boss pet are nice , but I guess they have to small the size of them . I would like to have dark knight , and all boss pet shall have their one own special skill .

 

Tbh i saw you 3 talking about this and it got me really excited, I wanna catch Astol *^* btw, have you thought about adding mini bosses to that as well since they drops Xtals as well

 

After reading all 3 ideas, I believe a combination of the 3 would bring out the best.

 

Spoiler: My Boss Pet Idea

To incorporate the taming skill this is my idea.
First to catch ANY boss you must have its Xtal. The way i think of it is you have to put the Xtal into a pet cage and then you'll be able to catch the certain boss Kind of like putting the xtal into armor (Goes for Mini Bosses as well) Must go into at least a normal level battle or just engage battle if mini boss and you must follow the same process to catch the boss like you would any other monster. Because it takes around 1 minute to catch a normal monster it should be 3 minutes.

 

Most have its xtal? Big nope.

 

Agreed, remember Sand Mole and Big Mask? No xtal

 

Yeah man miniature versions of them is how it'd have to be which would be a little logical since its not actually capturing a boss but extracting their lifeforce out of an xtal and into being

My idea incorporated mini bosses

This throws a monkey wrench in all of our ideas lol. However that is a simple adjustment to do. Either be sure to give all an xtal, leave them out, or we can change the required item from a boss xtal to the core. (Im kinda againt this since i view the xtal as the core)

 

Maybe... For miniboss you need its special drop. Like how Colon Commander drops its special Colon Helmet and how Big Mask drops it's special Stier. All minibosses have a drop special to it so that'd work huh?

 

So how about make a twist..
The succesful after obtaining the shard and when we want to get the boss pet is only 35% And
If the catching fail the X-tal will broke.
whahhahah

 

Make it 80% but with the same % chance as statting. We all know people fail at 98% at some point so..Ye xD

 

Nah because after you worked so hard the build as a pet could still suck. Like an ordinary with timid nature when you want a genius with steady nature

 

Cought cought. .aso will get more money when they do that IMO

And for desperate RMT player they will suffer

 

So youre saying make this buyable? But which portion of it would be buyable?

 

Its the book type and gems type
We know this 2 items is hot items

But what if its only nerf a bit lower when using this item
For the shard drop.
Its means that when farming the shard we shuld'n used any drop buff items and books
So the non maller not been at disadvantage A. K. A normal player

 

Not sure who's idea youre referring to but in the case of mine the fragment of life (equivalent of what you call a "shard" i think) can only be obtained as reward (for example maybe through a chest) after the event is completed so nothing can affect the chance of getting them.
