pvp and gvg

    for a long long time now players have been either wanting or not wanting
    pvp and gvg (pvp= player verses players gvg= guild verses guild) this has over time became a big topic players have actually sent request and even beg for this to be added (this same thing also happen in iruna)
    SOO people want some competition between each other (or just want to say I am stronger then you)

    So I want to see everyones opinions on this topic

    my current opinion:
    NO!
    reason: after playing avabel and seeing community of pvps and gvgs and how it effects game and people who play I say no
    if it was added of course they will try and make money off of it by adding items that effect pvp and gvg
    Players will of course become competitive and some even anti social and even aggressive
    most of game will end up being focus on pvp and gvg
    Players will be segregated by who spends money and who doesn't (this will happen anyway)
    Last but not least like, the system in game isn't really pvp or gvg built (unless made into a percentage setup where players stats will give them a power point and player with most points likely win match I seen it in pc browser mmos)
    This is just my current opinion what is your opinion on pvp and gvg? TELL US BELOW

    that's the only reason i seeking for a MMORPG game, PVP and GVG :D

    Definitely yes, PvP will allow players the chance to challenge themselves and see just how effective their character setup (stats, equipment, skills, etc) is against another player who can adapt.

    GvG first and foremost will give guilds more purpose then just the guild maze and chatting. GvG also adds that extra challenge for guilds to try and figure out the most effective party to fight with. And last but not least it give support players a chance to really shine because the difference between having a good and bad support could mean victory or defeat.

    The main purpose is PvP&GvG gets players thinking and involved.

    It would give a challenge (which toram has 0 challenge exept xtal armor)
    But I am still 95% sure it wont happen

    ideas on how pvp and gvg would work in toram would be like very cool to see your opinions and ideas
    keep in mind toram gamplay how players hubs are and how skills work, battles all in consideration

    I want PVP and GVG that's why i play MMORPG! I also play AVABEL and I think it will be more fun if TORAM add some PVP.

    So far people want pvp but none gave out how it would work
    if we fight like we do now brawler and hunter would be strongest tho worrior could handle however fights would be short and very 1 sided
    in my view
    I like to see others opinions on how it would work

    Gvgs like ragnarok. You need to protect something. That sounds cool to me. Or like a capture the flag.

    Anywho capture the flag is def not something they can do by gamplay style
    gvg differ slightly between games
    asobimo has only done 1 pvp game if I correct

    Asobimo is working on a pvp only game if I remember like, was in test atm
    so I assume that is where all pvp people go no?
    It name was X world

    I learn from innosan I think from avabel forums
    its still in works
    it will be pvp and will have voice acters etc
    a pre alpha test is in Japan only if remember

    In my opinion I think gvg would be better then normal pvp, unless the pvp was on a set day and time each week. That way it wouldn't be an all the time thing.

    I think the gvg would work good in this sense.

    Note this is based on a bracket system able to accept 36 base guilds. Also as you win you go up the bracket. The gvg well start on Saturday and end Sunday.

    First off you have a new menu button during guild battles that show all your Guildies life(able to cast heal like you would clicking a party members health) That way you wouldn't need Certain people in a party(you still can for efficiency reasons. Like a buff/healer party etc, tank, glass cannons(the weak mages), the snipers, etc. Also this would greatly help the healer role or people who have the heal skill on them.

    Next you both have a boss that attacks and kills players but stays in your base and you can attack it like a regular monster. But the bosses hp will be scaled in the participating players.(based on enemy players will be your boss monsters stats and health. One way this would work is base it off the players stats our guild level. Each guild level has a different boss to face). If this boss monster does then that team loses and attacking team wins.

    Another way it would work is instead of having two boss monsters have only one. That one will be on defender team and the other team is attacker. Time limit is set at like let's just say at a base of 20 mins. If the attacker can't kill you then your team wins.

    Random gvg mechanics:

    Some random mechanics used. If two teams sign up but no one goes to the battle map then after the time limit both teams are forfeited. (So the team that would be fighting them would have a rest time then cause of no team to fight.

    The guild must sign up with a free of spina. 10k one time fee each week. After they sign up no one can leave or join guild until they win the gvg or lose.

    If spawn killing commences then that team is immobile and can't attack for twenty seconds(spawn killing is bad on pvp)

    Each death has a 5 second revive time. Can't get any lower or longer.

    When you revive you will have a 3 second immunity but can't attack, but can cast buffs, etc.

    You can buff the guild members stats by 5% if anyone I guild pays 300 orbs. Can stack a maximum of three times. For a total of 15%

    During the last two minutes if the losing team is very far behind the other team they will get a 20% increase in stats for two mins.

    Each person at the start of the gvg will have an option to pick a free buff.
    -20% more health and defense(one way to combat mages insta-kill combo you.)
    -5% more attack and aspd/cspd
    -2m more attacking distance allowed for long range skills
    -50% attack debuff but gain 50% def and hp buff
    -10% more crit rate
    -20% more evasion but lose 20% attack

    As of right now that's all I can think of. Let me know what you think! If we actually make a good idea then we could submit it to the devs. Also the reason behind a boss monster is if it was a traditional xtal would be to easy. So a boss monster that stayed within a base is better, plus can help kill players. Thus something actually challenging.

    Also gvg would give better meaning to the buff class. Let's say you buffs a mages attack but that lowers defense Also. Won't really matter since we would die in one through three hits anyway.


    Another note is everyone's hp would have a base of 5k. If yours is higher then it would keep higher amount. Would help mages, other low health class actually put up more of a fight(though a mage up close is like a stupid idea)

    Go watch FF14 PvP and tell me it can't be done that way. They use same engine as Toram in PvE too

    well I think if we add all this I think game will devour space on cell phones
    and probably be a WiFi only game
    and probably crash allot if your device up to expectations

    However the certain times a week is a great idea
    I also think tho that rankings would not work it would be like avabel
    all u need is 2 devices and use one character as a dummy and other attack it and rank go up (is how some reach high rank in ranking boards in avabel)
    So ranking board's more or less for little fame

    Gvg probably would be best to get lazy ppl working harder with there guild
    and giving more reason to guilds (atm guilds are more like clubs)

    NOTE: remember we are all playing on different devices
    some even only use data plan others use WiFi some have good brand new device's others older devices this adds limits to size and abilty
    toram already pushes limits well
