1H+Dagger - Assassin Stab + Super Sonic Blade

So we all know the hard thing about utilizing Assassin Stab is to get behind the boss, especially when you're the aggro holder. Halberd can do the best dmg output, but can't even get behind. Dual Sword can easily get behind the boss using Shadow Step, but without a dagger, it's a meh.

One way to get around this is to use Katana+Dagger, and using Triple Thrust to get around the boss. 1H can actually do the same.

I just found something recently by playing around with Sonic Blade. Regular SB will put you 1m infront of the boss, while Super SB will put you 1m behind the boss. However, you'll need to cast SB again within the span of 5s. Which means it must be spammable.

So I'm thinking about something like :
SB > Impact(Cons) > Stab(Smite) > Lv. 10 Throwing Dagger (Swift)
SB > Stab(Smite) > Impact(Cons) > [Normal ATK]

What do you think? I don't really want to build it because personally, I don't like spamming. But hey here's an idea for you all.

 

If you want to spam Sonic Blade, you cannot put it as combo starter. Other than that, it is an interesting idea.

 

You can actually. You only have 5s time to cast SB though. Pretty short, but it's enough if you have some ASPD with you.

It's an annoying skill to land. I don't think the developers really thought hard about it, or considered the benefits verses the hassle. Why back stab, when you can spam DT/SC/Hasso?

We should just complain like all the DS users...

I'd recommend that:
Shadowstep should be a skill for daggers too. In fact, dual sword skill tree should allow for daggers. As a dagger is just a smaller blade?

They keep saying "classless system", make them honour that.

I think getting behind boss is impossible if you're the aggro holder unless the boss is using a non homing skill

 

it is possible. just more difficult because it will turn around as soon as it finished it's last move.

 

Okay maybe you are right... I did it in the perspective of shadowstep on mobs after all
