1h+MD (Scuffed) Build Progress

    I need to know, or at least would like to know how I'm doing. Where is my damage on the Damage scale? I know it's on the lower end but is it anywhere near breaking into the middle of that scale? Because I'm not feeling it.

    What enemies should I be able to solo with this stuff? (all cheap/budget as fk). What's considered "good"/"decent" damage? (For single slotted gear?)

    (Idk. After thinking it over, I guess I'm just trying to figure out if I should just be content with only doing/being able to do lower difficulty content?)

    Recommendations for Add Gear Xtals?
    Is it cheaper to buy a second slot for everything or to get new gear that already has 2 slots?


    +B Sword - I think it should've had Crit Damage% but I got it for cheap a while ago, so that wasn't really occuring to me. Added the Xtal recently.

    +A MD - It was cheap and +A. And came with the Xtal, so plus(?)

    +C Armor - Cheap, +C, had a slot. Starting to thing I should've/should aime for something with Atk% instead? Those minus magic stats definitely aren't pog, but beggars can't be choosers.

    +9 Add Gears - I dont really know wtf Guard Break does, but I know Atk% is probably good and Str% = A little more Crit Damage so... yeah. Don't know which xtal to aim for for. Leaning towards Bapho? But that's expensive, so maybe something cheaper...

    It was cheap, so i got it. I got it, so I use it. Or should I be using something that adds more to my damage? Like a +Str Ring and Atk/Str/Crit/Damage boost xtal?

    My Stats. I don't know what any of this means in terms of "Are these any good?" Going by YouTube videos, it feels like I have basically no MP, lower end of middling HP, and I'm pretty sure my Atk and Damage is sub par too. Or is it? Yeah I don't know.

    If i reset, probably gonna get rid of CRT to add more DEX. Idk how people break the 255 cap on Stats. Im guessing a reward for hitting level 200 or something??? Or is it a side quest?

    Test Battles. Don't expect any insane numbers here lmao. I like how it feels to play though, so at least there's that.

    3rd video just makes me realize. All that set up, when I could just use Meteor for about the same damage, right?

    A good Damage per second is 111,111, disregarding normal attacks.
    Which means if an attack takes 10 seconds, it better do 1,111,111

    Also, that number varies from boss to boss. There are some hard bosses. The above number is with respect to Finstern Ultimate, who has an HP of 40 million.

    At 1 million per 10 seconds, it takes ONE person 400 seconds, or 3 people about 133 seconds or two minutes.

    Two minutes is an expected clear time for most bosses. Anything beyond 3 is is wasting time.

    Now, yes, if the rewards were better and if the boss battle was instead a dungeon battle, and there were more mechanics at play, then longer play times would be enjoyable.

    But at the current state of the repeated boss clearing, speed = everything.

    There's still lots of room for improvements. Just be patience and find ways to earn more money. Like farm & sell stuff such as materials (or mats for short). Sell to players pays more but it can take long time depending on how quick or slow people buy things on CB. Or join a guild with npc shop and sell the mats directly to it, less money but faster, although it only works on trash mats, not to player-decided expensive stuff like xtal and some more important/demanded mats. Once you got the money, you can try to get more optimal gears than these.
    Magic warrior build is definitely not the best build for damage at the moment, but at least you can still be able to deal some decent damage with the correct settings.

    Basic stats, you definitely don't need CRT. You can get 100cr with gears and food, and perhaps some xtals.
    Neither the stats nor the xtal of the sub MD matters, they don't work, and they won't work. The only thing you need for your sub MD is its watk and refine level. You need them once you have the Enchanted Burst skill in Magic Blade tree, since with higher watk & refine level, that skill's buff will grant you more MATK and Enchant Sword power.
    Find armor that is more suitable for hybrid build if you can. This armor with negative MATK and mpierce is painful if you're playing both damage type. It'd be ok if the armor only have negative MATK, though, since ohs md doesn't have high MATK to begin with, thus there'd be very little damage loss.
    Imo add gear like Cookie Earring would be better for the build, as it provides dual pierce and stability. No need for resistance nor barrier if you're playing as damage dealer, you're no tank after all. Focus on damage instead, and learn patterns and learn how to avoid attacks and use manual evasion. Light armor + MD has 14 evasion charges and pretty fast recharge too.
    Btw, "guard break" is chance to bypass the enemies' "guard" thing. Sometimes when you attack, occasionally there's a "EVASION!" or "GUARD!" appears (chance depending on the type of enemy). Evasion is similar to a miss, except that it can only be bypassed with "Anticipate" stat instead of accuracy/dodge. While "Guard" makes your damage dealt on them significantly reduced. Percentage of "Guard Break" you have means the chance for you to bypass enemies' "guard" thing and deal damage normally. Not really that important, though, since I don't think there are many enemies with high guard rate.
    That special gear you have there is for tank, not for your build. Try to get a Machina Ring, it's the cheapest 2-slot rings atm (100k spina for an empty one on average).

    And, to reach those numbers, just ATK alone is not enough. You also need pierce, crit dmg, dmg to element, short range/long range damage, speed, and some other buffs and stuff,... You also need to pay attention to proration in order to maximize your damage output. Although, considering my dex>luk magic warrior farmer with +A 5th anniv sword having slightly more ATK than this, I'd say this much ATK is definitely not enough.

    Yeah I been saving up spina, slowly but surely. I don't have too much time to farm but I do it as often as I can.

    The MD came with the xtal, that's the only reason it's there. I spent a little extra for it, cuz I was building a luk mage anyway at the time, and it was +A. So, couldnt hurt, I thought.

    About Magic Pierce, idk how the math on it works, but, I have an Avatar that basically cancels out the -5% M.Pierce. At least I think it does? Is the +5% on Avatar worth the same amount as -5% on armor?

    Is the Aching Right Arm good for this? I'll give the Cookie Earrings a try. Any other suggestions for add gear?

    What you said about the 5th anniversary sword luk character got me thinking. I found a 1 slotted 6th anniversary sword (+B, decent stats) for half a mil just to see how big the difference would be. And it was pretty big. About 500 extra attack.

    Aiming for bapho atm while looking for suitable add gear (so that I dont waste bapho on a bad item). I'll replace the ring after since the good xtals for it aint cheap and needs 2.

    It was before, but not so much after magic blade tier 4 release. Back then in magic warrior builds, the sub MD only need high refine if one wants better Resonance buff, although that buff is random and not really reliable. Element too, if one wants to utilize the 10% dte buff from Enchant Sword. Other than that, none of the sub MD stat works. But after tier 4, with the implement of Enchanted Burst for ohs md build, the sub md now also need high watk and high stability, as the skill grants two buffs: one gives flat matk bonus, the other gives extra multiplier for Enchant Sword. The former depends on sub MD's watk and refine, while the latter depends on both of those and sub MD's base stability. Look for info about Enchanted Burst on somewhere such as Youtube, you'll find the exact formula, but simply speaking, you only need the MD to have +A refine to maximize the matk buff, but need +S and high stability to maximize the ESword buff.
    Btw, the matk buff dependence on sub MD refine is on a 2-level-step because of the formula, meaning you need to increase refine by 2 for the buff to have a change. In other word, +A (14) will have the same matk boost as +S (15), same for +C and +B, +E and +D, etc... The ESword buff is changed per refine level, though, unlike the matk buff, thus +S will be different from +A.

    Same type of stat from different sources are usually additive to each other. So if you have -5% mpierce on armor and +5% mpierce from avatar then they'll cancel out each other. Though, pierce stat in this game has significant effect since the damage formula of Toram is kinda "unique". While def/mdef of foes in other game give a % of damage reduction that increases in a logarithm-like pattern (aka less increment at higher stat), in Toram those two stats are instead substracted directly into base dmg (base dmg = (your atk/matk + your level - foe level)*(100% - foe resistance)). All other damage multipliers are applied after that, that's why some people usually say raw atk & pierce are more effective than damage multipliers such as cdmg, srd/lrd, unsheathe, etc... when fighting high def/mdef enemies.
    Let's say, on the magic side, you have roughly 1000 matk, and after applying level difference and resistance, it becomes 900. If the enemy has 890 mdef, then you base damage will be only 10, thus results in super low magic damage. Also, in stat calculation, multipliers are applied before flat bonus, and Conversion bonus is considered as flat, thus %matk on ohs md won't give as much matk as you may think. Using the above example, 10% matk might give you like about 40-50 matk or so (assuming that conversion bonus is 500 flat matk) which increase the base damage to 50-60; while 10% mpierce will reduce enemy mdef by 89, which increase base damage to 99. That's why many people loves pierce stat, since the higher the enemy def/mdef is, the better the stat works.
    And because magic warrior builds usually have low matk and most of the matk are flat bonuses, mpierce usually works better for them than %matk. I used negative mpierce on my armor before, and i regretted doing so.

    Although I suggested Cookie Earring, I forgot that my build was bowgun md, not ohs md. Bowgun has low stability, thus I preferred that. Ohs md doesn't have that issue, whether you choose STR>DEX, STR>INT, or DEX>INT build. There's also Potum Backpack which has the same amount of ppierce & mpierce, less stability but comes with 3000 hp in addition (although the price might be pretty expensive). There are a few other options, such as Yashiro Azuki Dad's Mask or Granny on Shoulder if you want %atk/matk and some speed. Aching Right Arm is great for ohs too (especially if you have high STR), although it's more favorable for the physical side only, but if you don't mind that then it's still very good.
    Those are my only suggestion, though. You can ask other people for more, or look for other suggestions somewhere, from people with more experience than me.

    Bapho is a good choice imo. The srd/lrd bonus is nice, and ESword is unsheathe so it'll fit perfectly with your build if that skill is your main damage. Well, chrismas is about 4-5 months away, I guess bapho price may drop when it comes.
    Its base xtal (Twilight Dragon) is still gonna be expensive, though. High chance it will. Last year I had to borrow from a friend.

    Here ill share mine. 1H+MD (Magic Warrior) VS Arachnidemon Ultimate



    My ATK is around 4k without buff item and my MATK is around 3k when Enchanted Burst passive active (that 3k matk i got with MD +B, i think its possible to get more with +S MD). For Magic Warrior u need to get MD with the best value of W.atk*Stabillity. Not only weap atk, u need to mind the stabillity too (180 atk MD with 70% stab is better than 225 atk with 35% stab). And of course the higher ur MD refine the better.

    Im using : 5 th Anniv sword +S Atk11str4cd21cr22 with Hexter; Alferon MD +B, Adv garb Atk7cd10cd20cr22 with Arach+Gopherga (this actually my paladin arm), Bear Hat with Bapho+Agel, Machina ring with Venena+Gravicep

    Personally i think magic warrior have the biggest potential, especially with nemesis now (if im not wrong nemesis ele is up to MD ele). With Elemental burst u can infict weaken ail for 15 sec if full stack (will differ with high diff boss i think) then use nemesis smite for magic crit damage 15 sec and astute for crt boost (E. Burst>Nemesis (smite)>Astute (con))

    Plus if im not wrong 1H tier 5 have a DTE boost skill that would be synergis with Magic Warrior. (The skill that looklike a barrier)

    FYI the newest boss valentine event right now have the best wind element MD (400 weap atk with 50% stabillity), its a must get item for magic warrior. Its value is the highest for now.
    Miele wind ele MD drop 400*50% = 200
    6th Anniv MD 183*70% = 128,1
    Alferon light ele MD drop 235*60% =141

    Yeah, can confirm that. A huge spike in watk progressing of MD, putting even Alfreon and Costero to shame. Its range is only 4m, though, but i guess it might not matter much considering that 1hs md is mainly melee.
    The drop rate is a bit low, and it requires part breaking, but at least the boss is not too hard to deal with.

    May i know what 1H tier 5 skill that boosted dte? as far as i know, Over limit skill of wizard tier 4 or tier 5 skill is the only dte boost skills as of now. And it can't be cast by MD sub weapon users.

    I don't recall anything that boosts dte for ohs, but Aura Blade can at least buff your next skill.
