A little help please?

I've got a little problem. Made a new class and can't seem to figure out why I'm not doing much damage. I do need better armor and crystals, but it should be doing way more. Can anyone see where I went wrong? I'm only doing about 2k tops to enemies my lvl.

 

better if u show ur skills, the ones u want to be ur main dmg skills and combos

Well, for the start. Get a better gear that's refined. Use critical enhancing gears so you could deal critical damage

 

So many wrong thing in your equipment and might be your skills too. I'll just put some of it.
1. Your equipment didnt focused on critical thus your damage would do any good. If you doesnt know, critical is the main requirement to deal high damage. From what i've seen your armor are using adventure garb from drop or npc, the one with no stat. Your sword is outdated, especially if you used the drop/npc craft version.
2. Your stat distribution isnt focused on damage, you must know that one hand sword got ATK growth from STR and DEX, with each of them increasing 2 ATK. That means by distributing 94 stat to VIT you lose more than 188 ATK. Why i said "more than"? That's because the ATK you got from stat can be increased by having ATK% status in the gears.
And there's many things that you might do wrong, like you kept spamming without prorating, or your skills level (depend on what you use) isnt maxed out.

 

If you dont have enough spina to buy an equipment you can farm the materials and craft the following equipment via npc bs.
You can craft an assassin garb or killer coat. It will give decent critical rate
and for add gear you can craft ghost zipper (for atck%) or kitty hood scarf (for crt rate)
and steal crt rate food from your friends list or guild members.
For semi tank, if you dont have enough crt rate, you will need to get berserk level 10.

 

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'll try and do some reworking of some stats and gear after work today, and I'll letcha know how it turns out. And for those asking about skills, I'll post some screenshots of my skills. I'll also include some combos too. I've been tanking as a knuckle user since the level cap was 120, so I missed a lot of updates as far as dps goes. And my armor was much better, but it got messed up at the synth when I was trying to dye it. T.T

 

Why do you use so much 1mp long combos? Not only pretty much useless in boss battle (get caught in combo) but also ruining the whole party proration which I hate the most (sorry if I'm being rude at this point but that's the truth). You should check about the 1-handed section about equipments and combos, too. Or just a simple thing about combo: > Place Decoy and then Impact > Buster/ Meteor(smite)/Finale(smite).

 

I was just fooling around trying to find combos that work, not the finished product. Those above were asking about my skills, so I posted all relevant info.

 

that consecutive Meteor Breaker in the 7th slot only deals 30% damage.
the buster blade below would have -30%, but the system stops at 10%.

 

You can try this combo for more damage:
1mp opener - Warcry (save) - Impact (con) - Meteor (smite) - Finale (smite)/Trigger (con)
-> 110% damage with only 1mp bar, and it doesn't ruin proration (just don't spam it too much).

The power of Buster Blade for ohs doesn't scale with STR like for ths, so you might just use this skill for hp recovery instead of using it for doing main dps.

 

Did my stats differently and got different gear. And it's significantly improved my dps. Thanks for all the help guys!
