About refinement values

Is it really necessary to make a weapon reach +S? Or +B is enough?

For a casual person like me who doesn't care about attack rank, +B already deals decent amount of damage imo. Why do people strive to make their equipment reach +S? I was able to reach +S once on proto but for some reason, why do I feel the resources I poured on this weapon will just easily replaced by newer and more powerful weapons in the future making it pointless imo.

Was it for rank?for numbers?

 

+B is standard
Imo, the reason why i go for +S is for practical reason (Killing boss asap)
Generally, weapons are mandatory to reach +S for me, while for +B is enough for arm and add.

Unless if it for tank, then try to go full +S since frac resist is dam good

 

Same here brother. I cannot be bothered to refine my equipments to higher than +B. Even though yes i have equipments that are higher than +B but that's just because they were on board for a really cheap price lol so i bought them

 

Cuz people can afford it.

Really? Refinement provides fractional resist? e-e I thought it only provides physical and magic resistance.

True, dealing more damage does makes the run faster and I agree to that but having to invest a lot of resources is quite extreme imo and the item is going to be replaced 2-3 months when new recipes or drops are released.

Glad tonknow someone also share the same thought about rhis matter.

 

Yeah and also 2slots equipments are a big nope. I've had only 1 slotted gear my whole Toram Online life (machina ring doesnt count) and i managed to take attacker rank 85% of the time. It's like, strategy is more important than strength

 

Even for armors +C is enough, in the end it's only 3% or so resistance compared to +S. The time and money you spent for it is most likely not worth the minor difference in value.

 

QwQ well Refining is fun and I always use npc drop/craft equipments with pure mono build but in the end I am always busy in irl daily life and unable to play too much T-T so for people like me +D to +B is enough i guess ! Those who likes to farm bosses too much, they might have soo many spina that they can keep up with the new recipes and equipments(player craft)....it’s just like self satisfaction or playing the ‘Trying the hardest ’ XD (The more active you are in toram the more you can earn):V

 

That's part of every game cycle.
At some time, you need to replace your old equips with new one to keep pace with new content.
But yeah, +B is enough

Reason why i invest in tank because their gears stay for a very long time compared to dps

 

And here i am, didn't even bothered to refine higher than C+ because the only thing i care is more action and fun. Althought being weak isn't that fun, but i think it's way more better if you're being average and think that everyone equally strong as you are.

 

Would be nice to actually see the stat modifiers on refined gear. I never know what Im really getting out if it.

Refining is the process of strengthening a weapon or armor. In case of weapon, +N refine means N2 % and +N bonus attack. For example, a weapon with 100 original attack is refined to +6. It gets +(62% × 100) and +6 bonus, totaling 100 + 36 + 6 = 142 attack power. In case of armor/additional/shield, each refine gives +1% physical and magic resistance.

the more atk a weapon has,the more refine affects it,in this case 2HS,OHS,Halberd

weapons like katana or bow,knuckles you can leave it at B and still be a-ok.

well,i mean in case if you're rich enough then +S shouldn't be a problem,why not.

 

I would do +S for weapon since 184% and 240% make a big different. However with armour and addition I go with + B for 1 slot or +S for NS. Unless u are an archer maybe no need. I saw a lot of bow player do a 1hp round so they would die if they get hit anyway.

I dont know how often people change the equipment but isnot it every 6 months to a year?

And yes , refinement deduct fractional damage as well

 

Every cap update people tend to change their equipments just for a mere additional +1 crit and critdamage. New recipes are also added sometimes.

 

Ive seen the guide on weapons. But i still have no idea about armor or add gears.
My point was there should be a indicator on what stats are being upgraded on the actual item or during refinement.

 

arm and add gear refine increase physical , magic and franction defence

for example , +E (+ 10) would reduce 10% fractional damage , increase 10% magic and physical resis

 

i used to refine because i like to gamble.

I can make spina easily in the game. I can kill bosses. The only thing I don't have control over is how long it will take for something to get to S lol

 

+S by chance, make a rule 100/200 antigens to +S otherwise stop at +B. The benefits of +S weapons is overwhelmed by proration.

 

Refining to +s is easy and it sells high too. If you've been there, it's more logical to make things +s everytime.

As for slots, they were cheap since the roll back happen. +s 2s weapons sells like 20-40m. Meanwhile prime piercers are only 1-10m.

Lastly why not? It's not like in real world situation where you'll have to save all the money and materials.
