Aegis and Protection

Is it good to use these both at the same time? it is stated that when one is used, one resistance increases while the other one decreases. But im a little bit confused since when i use both of them, i think i receive alot more damage than only using one at a time(depending if phys or magic), but my teammates always say that i should use both. someone please enlighten me. thanks

 

depends on which ever dmg dealt most by the boss or any dmg skills(physical or magic dmg type tht is) tht is hard to dodge by players. as for frac dmg blamed the dps for not dodging them lmao. tho they r gud reason for using both, they still give abit resistance tho not as gud as 1 single buff on wut either protection or aegis can provide

 

Amount of physical/magical resistance increase: 10 + (Ceil[Lvl/3])*5 %
Amount of magical/physical resistance decrease: (Ceil[Lvl/3])*5 - 35 %

So, as long as both skills are lv 7 or over, casting both will be beneficial. (Or no net effect if one is lv 6 and one is lv 7)
If both are at lv 1, casting both would cause -15% mag/phy resistance which is useless and difficult to do XD

 

soooooooo is both lvl7 the same as both lvl10? or lvl10 is higher but not really worth it coz its almost same with both lvl7(sorry cant compute coz idk where to get the 'ceil' value

 

The (Ceil[Lvl/3]) part is:
1 for lv 1~3
2 for lv 4~6
3 for lv 7~9
4 for lv 10

1 = +15%/-30%
2 = +20%/-25%
3 = +25%/-20%
4 = +30%/-15%

Get both to level 10

 

Its really dependent on the boss you're using it against.

Iirc at Max level, Protection and Aegis can offer decent resistance. I stopped using the skills tbh.

If you cast only one it offers much better resistance at the cost of another. But then again, imo if a boss very rarely uses a type of attack (magic or physical) might as well cast the one you need.
