Ailment resistance on mage

    Guys who do my mtl finale keep getting stun /flinch while casting finale even with 100 % ailment resistance
    ( I have 255 mtl and use dragoon set for 25 % )

    Ailment resistance doesn't work against magical flinch (flinch you get while casting magic). Also, if an ailment is red named (usual ailment is white named), then you can't avoid it with ailment resist, which could be the type of stun you got.

    magic flinch most occur only in auto attacks of boss. normal flinch and magic flinch is different (mtl mage can prevent normal flinch) so having mtl mage is ok if you dont like being tumble/stun and other ailments

    Then we should probably delete MTL Tanks too cuz absolute ailments are a thing now

    I don't think your build is useless just because 1 boss or 2 or more have absolute ailments, you just need to adjust strategy to it.
    If it's a high lvl character, I recommend you just wait for free reset. There are rumors of one coming soon. If you really dont want MTL Finale (Still good cause you have good interrupt resistance) anymore you can try having some VIT on your next char and then Recovery Skill to fight against ailments(can't counter interrupts). Being a tanky finale allows you to survive even the most messy battlefields out there.
