Why crit 38 ?

 

38 CRIT gives +11 to base crit rate, putting you at 36 base. This gives you just over +5 crit rate per critical 14% stat (5.04) which adds up nicely to +10 critical rate from % stats since it rounds down.

 

So with that hot Bowgun update bouta drop why not help us guys packing a hip cannon

Now, while I don't really snipe much I can say that using a crutch like meikyo wont be prime because of the Critical damage decrease there is. Wouldn't you rather just gear up over wasting SP?

 

I don't get this thinking though... wouldn't it be easier to gear up for the +5 cdmg% loss, instead of the +40 crit?

 

Yes. And -5%Cdmg is negligible. It hardly makes a difference at all.

 

Then where's the Meikyo Build

The more i ponder it, the more it makes sense to use meiko haha. BGs have lower stability rates so increasing that first over %cdmg may achieve higher gains. AND its a very fast combo filler. The other cons for meikyo is the drop in defense (it won't be down for long tho) and you would be forced to put it behind a smoke shot save (but i would do that anyway)... once the update happens and the free resets are offered, I'll likely give it a try. =D

 

I am currently using your build, and is there really no mp charge? I'm not having a problem doing the 1mp combo because hitting the boss regenerates your mp. But I can't use 4mp combo which is needed for slightly squishy boss like proto and ifrid normal mode because 1mp combo is kinda long for that and to maintain the max damage for snipe skill. Is there any tips you can advice or something that can help make up to this? Great guide btw, keep it up.

but i think you should seek other updated builds
since we've already reached 150 cap and theres still no update from alz
