Anyone getting bore with Toram

Seeing things how they are right now and based on my playtime(i have Sydney GMT+10 Timezone), there are lots of South East Asian players whenever I'm online(English Channel). During those times, I have made plenty of good party for bosses and some farming spots.

1. I think the Mage-Only-PT is most of the time happening at the popular farming sites like Goblin spot and Skeleton spots, in these places, I rarely get to have team/party(I'm using Brawler and Swordie btw) because yes they only want Mages. On other farm sites(not so popular) like Kijimu(Ruina Plains), Goblins(Ribisco Cave), Shell Masks(Mt. Nisel), I always get to join PT and do farming/leveling(for my swordie). I think the problem is that spots like goblins and skeletons are so popular, players(mage users) wants to monopolize these spots and they have the advantage of AOE.


2. Eerie Crystal and Mage Crystal Armors are really getting so expensive. 2 Days ago, I was able to buy Eerie Crystal for 55K. Yesterday, It soared to 110K+ and people are shouting to Buy it for that price. IDK if it's due to abundance of SPINA in-game that caused this or some people or blacksmiths who made Magic Crystal Armor hyped up to the point that everyone wanted it. In any sense, if no one buys Eerie Crystal for 110k or higher and no player will patronize the said trends, then it is safe to say that we are just being influenced by HYPE-ISTS who made the crystal to be expensive. And tbh, the pricing of eerie crystal is the only thing that gone soared up, even Mino Xtal and Fwolf Xtal which are both around 15k-20k each are now being sold around 40k-50k and that ain't even realistic. Beware of those players who most of the time sells at this price range, never patronize them coz they will keep breaking/influencing the price market. I have a list of those people who overprice crystal sale, feel free to PM me about them.

3. Lesser players. I never had this issue. There are so many players IMO, they are just staying in the new map(most of the regular ones at BD or FV we see before the latest updates are staying at the ruin golem/g.skeleton to hunt). That may be one of the reason why we are not able to find the usual party we want on BD or FV boss. Well, to those who wants to hunt bosses outside the new map, if u ever came across me in-game(RyedeR), you can always ask me to go with you on either boss or other boss as long as I am not AFK or farming. I'm a Brawler(lvl 50) which may be able to help you.

On the other side of things about the SHOUT CHAT being abused. I am not racist or anything or I am not saying that ALL are doing this. But I noticed that most of the SHOUT Spammers are Filipino players. Again, I am not saying ALL OF FILIPINOS but I am saying most of them are. And to be fair, I have couple of Filipino friends in-game(met them on toram only) and they are also annoyed with their fellowmen.

 

I disagree, mages are glass cannons. They have to have high attack. What I wouldn't mind seeing is the defense of mages go down tho. Also, no matter what class they are, a lvl 10 is completely useless (unless support) when fighting Flare Volg. The party lead was probably just carrying them for exp.

 

Thats why I said it unfair for other new players.

 

Mage high attack? Glass cannon? I feel that 2h warr does a better job. Call them paper shooter more suitable..

I tried mage, magic arrow 900+ x4. Blast at 7k+. So slow and weak.. Even tried combo arrow>blast(smite)>charge(swift)>Lance(consecutive). *shake head*

At least my 2h constantly deal over 10k dmg with combo and took only 2bars yet with my trigger slash passive recover fast with Wolf garb and customised aspd volg 2h sword.. The lead time dps higher and more survival with dodge/evasion with light remodel..

Pls dun say mages OP... Though this game juz started not long...

I welcome brawlers for boss fights for constant break skills which leads to more rare drops..

IMO Mages are juz gob/skelly farmers. Farm their ass off to get so much spinas yet no one wanna party them for eerie boss coz they are pure useless so they bid high prices to buy what they can't hunt themselves..

If really can't find a party, make one or join a guild.. I farm gob alone till I get all s.art to pump my useless attackless smith to lv50.. No point getting angry with them. The world is round... Karma is around.. What goes around come around..

 

Owe... how can you put 4 attacks in one combo like that. I can do only 2 at a time (hard hit + astute)

I think that mage is too over power in this game... with the hp boot skill even a mage can tank =_=

In another game that i play... mage has high attack but very low in hp. Tank has high defence.. high hp.

Since in toram ...everyclass can learn skill of other class some mage can almost tank when they do mini boss. And that wall skill are very helpnful in keep getting boss away when doing mp charge.

I feel like swordie and brawer should have an aoe skill too.... sonic blade is good but it is not useful in open space farming such as gob.

 

You can tank Volg at level 10 though. Just because it's not optimal, doesn't make it useless. What's wrong with letting someone get leeched or collect items for armor? If they took the initiative or have friends/guildies willing to help, then let them. There's no actual issue in doing so because everyone can do the same thing.

1.) Mage parties aren't made as Exp parties though. They're made as income farm parties first and exp parties second for most players in them. If you're not going to kill trash monsters faster or at around their pace, why should they add you? You're asking for a leech that impedes their first goal of making money afterall.

If you are a Swordsman, Brawler, or Archer that isn't specced out for a farming build, don't expect to farm. Mages are almost always expected to have Wall on their person. So it's easy to make a call on who to choose. Every other character does not have that expectation. If you do have reliable and constent AoE but are still having trouble then I insist that you blame the rest of the community for focusing on single target builds when not using mages. Since all of the AoE's available are viable for farming. They're rarely specialized in builds though. It's alot less stressful to farm without a vetting process to find useful farmers though.

Also, if you're making a tank or DPS focused around bossing, why the hell aren't you bossing to level up your combos? A level 45 without a high combo level is limited to say the least. Outside of mages who still benefit from it highly.

2.) I don't know how you can say that Eerie is hard to farm and then say "It's to expensive". Obviously if you take ages to get a drop, others will also have the same luck. They'll also want to profit from the time spent as well.

Eerie used to be dirt cheap though. The cheapest of any boss crystal until the community found out how useful it is for every character. Then it got more expensive as it got more popular. Now it's popular not only because of it's usefulness, but because of Crystal armor. Why should one of the best crystals/vanity items be cheap? That you farmed weeks for it makes it's worth apparent for either use. You could simply farm dyes/skeletons/goblins across the week for an hour each day and buy it though. Then be patient and wait for a fair price. As you do so, accumulate more Spina just incase.

3.) There are more people it feels. Someone else posted that the community is dispersed into the new areas. He/she is right.

 

Use combo more often and up combo points so that can put more skills..
Most mages if tank, dmg will be so low.. When I do hardhit,astute,trigger combo I used 2bar and deal 5k,6k,7k. With 600hp now I can tank volg and bd.. Try ask the mage to solo golden skelly.. Lol.. Skill level 3 opening at lvl70 so there might be AOE in future

As you use a combo you gain additional combo points for adding skills, so eventually you can make longer chains, like Hard Hit/Astute/Rage Blade/Trigger (eventually my tanking combo xD)

I agree. Sword users should have an AOE, and I'd love to see the knight tree get an AOE 'aggro all' skill. That second one would make tanks more valuable in ruins as they can pull the skele mobs off a mage when they get flinch-locked

 

I farm with my warrior too....I kill 12 at once with my sonic dash....You just gotta think outside the box..

 

What's wrong with mages being able to tank? That just makes the game all the more balanced. There are only a few places that mages excel at right now. Killing Volg, due to having the only water element weapon and killing trash monsters in condensed locations. The second is debatable because of how utterly ludicrous Sonic Blade can be when specced for it. Goblins middle sections works really well and skeletons as well. If a mage can tank and hold aggro, then all the power to the individual who picks it up. It is by far the hardest way to tank outside of Crystal Roar from my experience though.

 

Just got to wait 75 more levels for that to happen.

 

I have a feeling in the future things will balance out more. What we're experiencing now is still the very early part of the game. When the level cap reaches, say, 100 or 150 I have a feeling a lot of builds that seem OP now will be paper tigers later.

 

I agree entirely. We can only play for now and save reset books for the future though. Can't forget about mechanic changes and such as well. Never know when MP regen will be easy to come by along with higher MP. Making 100 MP skills and consecutive low level junk. o:.

 

I'm willing to bet oxygen that Toram is gonna have a lv200+ cap in the future like Iruna.When that happens,bosses could have anywhere from 10m-50m HP easily.
And I bet mages can solo them easily xD

 

It would be a great way for asobimo to sell orbs.. 10 orbs for a single tree reset ._.

 

Just now a mage tell that his hp is more than 2k and u know what, the party can farm golden skeleton quite fast with him. High dmg, high hp. and he even say that, there is no need for tanker. Im sad when he said that xD

 

What lvl is your sonic blade? I still has it at 3 though
