Assassin/Wizard T4 Wishes

    Do we know anything about these new skills and what would you like them to be?

    Ignoring the obvious signs of what it would be:

    Wizard
    - A skill to append an ability to a familiar, summon familiar skill let's you choose which familiar to summon. Familiar auto casts appended ability.

    - Assistive casting to halve the final cast time of all magic and channeling skills.

    Assassin
    - Automatic evasion, will evade any attack with 75% probability until all evasion charges used. Upon successful evade, increases assassin stab damage

    - Passive to add mana explosion to arcane strike.

    Making Wizzard Meteor skill actually useful.
    My mage full like can't hit that shet. motafuking 255 LUK and rarely hits.

    I just wanna a passive or buff to fix arcane’s mana problem. Hopefully something like cutting the mp cost in half without cutting the dmg. Another more general idea could be just a buff that increases ampr and boosts assassin skill damage when not holding aggro. I’d also settle for just a cut and dry dps skill. BTW what is mana explosion?

    Mana explosion is that bomb type ailment mardula drops on you (and some other bosses) which deals damage proportional to your MP.

    I was hoping a player mana explosion would deal damage equal to MP used to activate the skill. It'd be perfect for arcane strike unless they mess it up like poison and ignite damage.

    Oh I see. Honestly even if they buffed the dmg I don’t think the skill would be too useful. It’s just too unreasonable to recover 2k mp in a reasonable amount of time. It needs something like Quick Draw, but more powerful. Lol they’d definitely butcher mana explosion like the other ailments. Fingers crossed for next month’s update! :D:D:D

    Mages, staff types can recover that quite easily actually but knowing them, they'd probably make the explosion damage like 1k per MP.
    The skill does need boosted damage too given how bad it's base damage is for MP cost. Maybe triple the multiplier gain per MP?

    I got it. What if they buffed the base skill multiplier from 1 to 5? It’d make using low mp arcane strike more MP efficient. The Arcane Strike meta would change from building up 2k mp for a nuke attack to spamming the cheaper version more often but literally always having very low mp. Considering arcane has such a high skill constant this could be a viable strategy!

    Then that would go against both it's it's d and make it inferior to assassin stab. Also doesn't really fix the MP efficiency issue as it still would drain all your MP.

    The best fix would simply be to increase the multiplier and constant gain per MP.

    For staff/dagger, the best fix is to add mana explosion.

    For physical/dagger, the best fix is a base DMG increase.

    Physical can do ampr combo (best for bowgun/dagger):
    Assassin stab > Arcane Strike (save) > Decoy Shot (save) > some 4 MP finisher.

    Staff can do a damage combo:
    Assassin stab > Arcane Strike (smite) > Backstep (Consec) > MP Recharge (swift) > Maximiser (consec).

    AMPR combo is really useful and decoy shot can even be omitted to have a combo with just assassin stab and arcane strike (save) for boosted ampr after every assassin stab. No downsides to this as you basically use the skill for ampr boost.

    For damage combo, it's terrible.

    I really don’t like the idea of staff being the best weapon for Arcane. I really would like it if it was more tuned towards 1h and knux. Just straight buffing the multiplier gain from mp favors staff too much for my liking. It already has a 21x multiplier at 2kmp and a 1.5k skill constant. This is a tricky skill to buff while keeping its core gimmick intact.

    I would love for it to gain an ailment effect rather than just more constants and multipliers.

    Actually, the assassin skill tree should favour AGI but that really isn't the case.

    Lastly, an STR staff build is most effective for arcane strike not an INT one.

    Best way to boost it is really just to give it an ailment and mana explosion fits the bill.

    With higher MP recovery, the damage from the ailment would be higher for staff rather than the attack itself.

    For other weapons, The higher frequency would be far more beneficial. This, provided the detonation timer is about 3 seconds.

    Assassin:
    An invisibility (not invincibility) skill that reduces aggro and increases the damage of the next skill (affected by unsheathe)

    My wish is that devs stop expanding Skill tree tiers and have new Skill trees that continue current existing skill trees instead. The "master 1 skill tree mastered" emblem will soon become unachievable to low-mid level players. =m= They can just introduce something like Blade Skills vol. II or something for the tier6 skills, and have tier 6 skills require other tier 5 skills from the previous skill tree to learn.

    Why would that emblem be unachievable? Most just did via taming/survival/magic swordman/dark power skill tree during free reset anyway. No proper build need you to lvl 10 all skill in a skill tree.
    Edit: Now that it's competed, guard, hunter, priest and knight skill tree is also good for the purpose.

    You're thinking about this issue in the perspective of a player with an account with multiple characters already, of which has 1 max or near max level character. I am speaking in the point of view of new players who don't have the luxury to waste skill points or make a "throwaway" character just for mastery emblems.

    As for the bit where you mentioned the "complete" skill trees... Those skill trees are not complete as long as the devs say so. The skill trees are subject to change according to the developer's discretion.

    As an example, the Guard Skill tree had a stand-alone tier 4/5 skill during beta, and that got removed, after 4-5 months after official release. (who knows, they might re-release it in the future) Priest/Knight tier3 skills were originally unlockable at 105, but was pushed back twice until the current Lv125. Another change was the main weapon skill trees getting new weapon exclusive stand-alone tier 3 skills.

    Let's face it, as long as the devs wills it, no skill tree shall remain "complete".

    What throwaway character. Just wait till free reset as i said. Use any skill tree that's deemed as complete at that time. Even if they add another skill after that, the emblem is already achieved. Getting 1 skill tree complete only need 60 skill point via dark power skill or 70 via taming if you don't want to buy a skill book. Getting all 3 is not regarded as newbie emblem anyway. Stop seeing problem where there's none.

    I wish wizard skill would make mage playable again on toram. Finale is really really bad and burst requires you to keep the aura at all times which is near impossible on some bosses.
