Between Bowtana and Dual Swords which in your experience has the best boss solo capabilities? I use Bowtana as main class and the solo capabilities are good, but i am looking at Dual Swords and they seem good at soloing too but i don't own a Dual Swords character yet but i plan to make one, so those who used both Dual Swords and Bowtana which in your experience was the best out of the 2 in terms of solo bossing and what skills and maneuverability and utilities put one above the other in boss soloing capabilities?

Both classes are good in their own way, it depends which one is suited to you and your play style.
While not a pro bout either class, l can state some obvious pros n cons.

    Dw
    Pros :
    • Balanced class in terms of offense n defense.
    • Elemental advantages with sub-weapons.
    • Good damage.
    • Awesome for soloing due to variety of skills .
    • 3 dps skills (SC, SR, PS) and 4 invincibility skill (PS, CP, SS, SR)
    • Also has access to sword skill tree ( meteor & buster) aswell as magic warrior skill tree (enchant sword). [ Depends on playstyle and available sp thou xD]

    Cons :
    • A lil expensive, if need decent output.
    • Auto attack can get annoying..

    Bow tana
    Pros :
    • Melee-Ranged.
    • Access to Bow and Katana skill tree.
    • Big range of dps skills ( Snipe, CF, Satellite, Tenryu, Garyou)
    • Good defensive capabilities (Magadachi, Zantei)
    • Ability to switch between pure bow-arrow & pure ktn.

    Cons:
    • Kind of hard to use as you switch between melee and ranged atks often.
    • Unless you invest in elemental bows, you lose elemental advantage (aka expensive build).

    Conclusion :
Its up to you, choose whichever class you like, because if good enough? Any class can solo.
...and we get resets often nuff now -w-; ) if you dont like either, switch xD
Reset by now is like an event than a rarity..

    Hope it helps ^^)

Awsome thank you for sharing your insight and experience on dual swords and Bowtana to give contrasts and comparisons between them, i will make dual sword on extra character slot and keep bowtana for their own niches they excel at

That is if they know how to allocate the stats without losing a lot of important stuff or make mistakes in the sp allocation which isn't really that hard anyway. At the moment, we still don't have enough SP to take all the skill that boosts damage (including passives) while having all the skills necessary to maximize for pure bow & pure katana. Even at level 215 it's not yet enough to max damage on those two areas. I have build for that and waiting for new level cap feels like a torture.

Also, the equipment of a full bowtana build can get a bit pricy. Armors can be shared no matter which style you're going with. But you're gonna have to prepare for elemental weapon for bow & arrow style, bow & katana style, as well as pure katana style. If a player intends to seriously focus on that build then they should at least be prepared if they want to up their damage.

I never went into them too deep,
But for me, damage was decent either way :|
I used dex-str (since l planned before hand to occasionally switch to pure class aswell)
Like with pure bow 1s+S (l's easily hit 1.4m cf on 3rd charge on ven ulti)
With pure ktn; Ns+B gravicept ktn) l'd hit 75-90k per tenryu on pillars (would cf ven)
Eventually l stopped the mix cuz it confused me to balance both at once (n so reset to 1 pure class)
    For sp allocation?
I think l tried this class for ..190s char,
Bow n ktn skill tree (as normal pure class use too)
War cry, Impact-finale (ender), Decoy, QA, GSW, Kairiki, Brave aura, passives of battle skill tree, backstep..l think thats all?
Allocation was fine for me :|
I had all the skills l needed (without any star gem)

    Note :
Yes l consider that decent, esp with Ns-1s weapons~

NS & 1S are completely fine as long as the stats are relatively new. Mixing up both attacks all the time is kinda harmful so I suggest leaning more into one style which is close or long range depending on the enemy & your current team or whichever you are comfortable with.

I didn't take Impact & Finale because I didn't need them, but I still don't have enough points for War Cry, Godspeed, and Flashblast. The reason I'm out of SP is because I completely maxed the Shot Skill ailment in case I need them for future bosses. Paralysis Shot + Pommel Strike gives me damage & stun on the go. Power Shot gives tumble for bosses like Finstern. Then Smash stargem if I need a flinch. The build is a solo unit now. The only problem lies with me since my hands are getting slower now. I know what to do but I can't open up or switch the shortcuts fast enough. That's the price of having too many skills. You set things you need, then you open them up on demand. If you're not fast enough, you gotta lean on one style which limits your actions.

    Indeed.
I never actually considered the ailment part of shot skill tree much (except moeba as opener), but reading what you wrote shows alot potential.
Since the most classes have 1-2 effects from tumble, flinch, stun etc, combination of skills you mentioned certain helps in the 'solo' part of build.

Thou..your answers make me feel like the OP..xD
I had only stated as much as l knew x3
Due to the playstyle of bowtana, l dont think l played it more than a month or two; so my points are from my limited experience ^^; )
This build has so much going on that a a point it seems good dps-class aswell as defensive, but as you said, timing and speed count alot.

As stated, its a luxury build (fun to play but needs quite alot of investment to be on lvl with pure builds)

The adjustment on Shot skill ailment was amazing tho. Newbies can pretty much pick Moeba Shot or Paralysis Shot as main damage skill before they could unlock Tier 3 & Tier 4. For higher level players it could be restricting tho because of the ailment cooldown which is 10 seconds. It's better to stick with tier 4 in that case and wouldn't harm proration much.
