Bow vs Bowgun

It's hard for me to decide what weapon to buy for next anniv.
I'm torn between bow and bowgun.
Up until now I just build bow because that's the meta.
But with recent update, bowgun seems promising in the future.
Can you help me choosing between those two option? i can only make one.
I'm not a heavy grinder and just login occasionally if there's good event to farm.

 

As you already know, tier 5 makes bowgun users a normal attack killing machine. Twin Storm not only hits fast, it also regens MP real quick and is quite strong when built right.

On the other hand, tier 5 makes bow use lower tier skills. Retrograde Shot is tied to hit counts: skills like Bullseye, Arrow Rain, and Cross Fire are multi-hits, taking full advantage of Retrograde Shot. It's the opposite of tier 5 bg.

If you're really stuck, just make it so your character can switch from bow or bowgun. The skeleton of this build is very similar before tier 5, so there's not much any difference between them.

I just realized there are specialization for hunter skills.
Retrograde for bow and twin storm for bowgun. There's also new sub katana passive.

I think I'll pass on samurai stuff. They need a whole different build and i think i can't afford it.

Which one do you think is more effective between retrograde and twin storm?

Retrograde seems like a buff for bow cf.
Bow user seems better to use rain arrow instead of satellite?! With registlet, arrow rain will have 10 hit count. And with full dex% equipment the multiplier will be massive.
Maybe it's good if the enemy like to move around, because satellite is kinda slow.

In other hand twin storm could help prorate. It also has some synergy with vanquisher.
And the skill animation seems so cool.

Now I seems prefer retrograde over twin storm

 

On second thought, bow will demand player to spam skills and neglecting auto atk.
I just watch some example video and it seems heavily burden the proration.
At this rate, bow will become the second katana?!
The mechanic is similar, u need to spam as much skill hit as possible in 30 sec timeframe (retrograde mark).
But bow is easier than katana because simple build and can atk from afar.
