Breaker Ranking?

Ok so I'm currently making a 1h/Shield breaker but I'm having a slight problem. I want the sole purpose of this character to be: revealing boss break points and leave them open for an extensive amount of time, breaking parts, and interrupting boss special atks. So far I've been getting breaker in my party almost everytime, but the others aren't far off my trail. I wanted to know if anyone knows what add to your ranking score for breaking? I hear 1h just spams a hard-hit combo and the ranking is just given to them but I hope that's not an issue

 

Eh, the breaker ranking is iffy at best. I've had it so when I'm on my mage, even if I get fourth place, I did about a fourth of the breaking when all I do is spam wall. I do Tap, but from my testing with my dps warrior, that actually hurts your ranking.

I think every breaker should have a Stun ability though(shield bash comes to mind) makes breaking so much easier.

 

Yeah, that's the purpose of the shield i use Hard Hit, Sonic Air, Sonic Wave, Shield Bash, and Shield Cannon.

 

i think simply .. idk if it true tho.
Attacker : your total damage/boss max hp
tanker : how long u in aggro/total battle time
support : time support skill lenght/Total battle time
breaker : total hit u landed/ total party hit landed

so more aspd more likely to get breaker, except for those neverending skill spam (1 hander *cough*) coz imo sword skill have the fastest animation.

Im kinda confuse too. My brawler has stunt , break , tremble boss for the entire time i am in the pt. And i never ever get a breaker rank =_=

I usually get tank or support....
