    Hi guys!
Just made a bs character recently, focusing on refining.
From what I gathered so far, TEC is the stat I'm supposed to max for a refiner BS.
After adding the necessary skills, I went to grind nisel & nuts to level. Before I move into my question, here is what I observed:
(with level 1 blacksmith proficiency) (ore used: hematite ore & damascus ore) (object refined: adel sword)
At 1 tech, successful refinement rate is 2 cracks more than the NPC BS
at 10 tech, successful refinement rate is 1 crack more than the NPC BS
at 60 tech, successful refinement rate is 0 crack more than the NPC BS
at 120 tech, successful refinement rate is 1 crack lesser than the NPC BS
at 180 tech, successful refinement rate is 2 cracks lesser than the NPC BS
    - - -
So before I move into the segment of level-ing up my bs proficiency level, I'd like to know, how does the level of BS proficiency affect the success rate of refining an equipment? Is it one less crack every 5 levels etc?
Any advice and enlightenment on this aspect will be greatly appreciated!
    Regards,
    @Margarin

From what I know, I don't think BS proficiency affects the success rate of refining an equipment. :x
Probably just Tech and the level of the refining skill itself.

Aww.... If this is true, then you guys just saved me hundred thousands of spinas from purchasing crafting mats (to craft equips and improve proficiency)
    Thank you :D
I'll save the money and try to purchase fine orichalcum ores instead :D
    Cheeers~!

I'd assume your levels stay because you can still look at what level you are in production stats menu but only one way to find out.

according to the luck guide, luck does not raise the success rate like tech does.
but it affects random rolls, so that the chances are shifted towards the positive side, although the base success rate stays the same.

Hi Guys, does the bs profiency affectd refining? I'd like to know because every time i refine, even though i have all skill points already done, (refine equip - mid class refine)
both max lvls, pure tech, i still have fail issues, and once i lost my equip while refining. Does it have to have high bs prof for high sucess rate?

    Nope it doesn't affect.

Only Tech, level of both refining skills affect the rate of success for Equipment Refinement.

If you are talking about making a blacksmith that crafts then yes. You need to pick what kind of equipment you want to make.
    2h sword 10pts str=1 pot
    Bowgun 10pts Dex=1 pot
    Staff 10pts Int=1 pot
    Knuckles 10pts agi= 1 pot
    1h/bow 20pts Dex/str= 1 pot
    Magic device 20pts int/agi= 1 pot

Nope, the proficiency level does not affect the success rate of adding any stat from Upgrade Equipment. The amount of Tech your blacksmith has also does not decrease the amount of potentials consumed when adding those stats.

It would be advisable to, but not a must.

    >For equipment Blacksmiths, focusing on one stat ensures you have the most potential for that equipment you specialise in, like what @Kornwall has mentioned. But if you wish to, you could still delegate some of those points to some Tech, to increase your success chances of Create Equipment.

    > For Tech Blacksmiths, it is also advisable to focus solely on Tech. This is to ensure that you can get back more potential when adding a negative stat to your equipment.

I have a same question. I think the guy wanna jnow if higher prof lvl consume less pot than lower prof lvl. Just For example.
Tec bs with lv 50 prof uses 10pot for 1stat.
Tech bs with lv 70 prof uses 8pot
Someone plz clearly state this one.. ty
