Cheap, but high damage

What are the classes that doesn't require you to spend a lot to be able to do high damage?
I stick to mages for this reason, i know close to nothing about any other class, so i wanna ask.
Is there a class where you don't need to spend much to do high damage?

 

Mage and Cf
Just collect all arrow element then use the elemental weakness (Tho 100 crit is important)

 

It depends on what is cheap for you, give is a budget range , since for me halb is cheap but ppl may differ

 

Cheap like, it will only need 1S gear to do decent damage. I can afford that, and maybe 2s weapon too, but not add gear or ring or armor
I do this much damage with my staff with all 1s gear.
Will i be able to do as much damage with 1s gear in any class?

If you like tons of numbers CF has awesome numbers even with minimal gears, melee weapons has a hard time reaching 1m+ single hit dmg but can out dps finale by quantity...

 

The problem with quantity is the MP, and not being able to use maximizer so i won't be able to spam (I think)

Even though it has been nerfed, people still using it (Don't forget kairiki also)
Generally, insta cast skill can outdamage charge type skill if enough gear invested in it

 

Pet summoner is cheapest.
You don't need any equipment. Just run away while your pet go fighting.

Btw, you make a right choice by pick up mage as your low budget character.

 

You can, cross fire require you to charge a bit, at 3 charge it deals decent damage while you can count on your decoy to help you recover your mp while you're charging. You can use a consecutive tagged impact at the end of the cf release to half the mp cost of the next cf cast, which is only 200mp. Also, always have your decoy intact since it gives additional damage to your cf, while also help you recover mp. Cross fire is also the most versatile skill in toram, being able to charge while dodging aoes gives it a huge perk compared to other high damaging class/skills which require some preparation, or very situational.

In term of damage, with 1 slotted gears katana is probably better, but preparing tenryuu is quite a hassle for many bosses. You can use cheap gear for halberd and use a 1mp combo but you need to be extra careful if you want to use gsw to speed up the long, 1mp combo.
