Color drops and dying

Hello new to the forum here, old to toram. I haven't really messed around with the color dyes but I have some questions. I understand that the armor dyes are mostly done and transferred through synthesis. How do the weapon color drops work? I fight the bosses on hardest level, multiple times, but never get anything.

 

Weapon dyes work exactly like armor dyes, but instead of fixed drop location like arm dyes, weapon dyes varied each month and spread out to all bosses (with drop rate shttier than xtal)

 

I got that. But let's say it says a boss drops a weapon color but the boss doesnt actually drop a weapon. So where does it go?

 

If the boss drop a dyed weapon, it will drop a tradable weapon according to the weapon you used(if you solo) else a random type according to member weapon equip(in pt cmiiw). The drop rate is insanely low; I have only gotten once from gespenst in my 400+ hrs of total play time...

 

Thank you that was the answer i was looking for makes sense now. Just still don't know why it won't give me one. I fought boss colon, no lie, 50 times.
