    Hello there o7,

well... I decided to come back to Toram after I think 1 1/2years.
(Cap was 140 or something like that, as i stopped playing.)

So, i was thinking of startimg completely from scratch, 'cuz I forgot literally anything, exepct for some basic things.

What's nowadays a good class to mostly solo play?
    I played a rod/arrow Mage, before I quittet.
I liked it a lot, but idk if it's good after that amount of time.
Sadly i gave everything away x'D

I don't really like the helbeard/axe thingy type of class... Just doesn't looks nice to me ^^'

Would be nice, to get some info about everthing :D

    Thanks in advance :3

(Keep it nice and relaxed, also have a nice day, everyone! :D)

    Best tank is 1h/shield
    Best DPS is Bow/Arrow
Best Support is 1h/Shield hybrid support/tank

    Don't play Knuckles.

Ah, don't assume someone's fetish, what if they're a masochist like us?
Staff - Shield (STR - VIT) works great for me; but the build required Dark power, so it's not a beginner build.
    Katana is a good solo.

if you don't have a preference (i always pick spellcasters first), katana is probably best for solo play.
it may appear to have low attack, but gains a massive attack multiplier from it's Two-Handed skill. it has a unique mobility mechanic and every skill has a different special effect for different situations.

bow+arrow is the easiest to play. they are pretty straightforward and get extremely high damage multipliers at higher levels.

I normally prefer ranged classes over melee classes, tbh.
I mean... Katana looks like a lot of fun, but I don't really like it's playstyle.

So... How is Bow+Arrow performing in soloing? I don't mind if it's harder, as long as I have fun xD
Also... I don't have any Spina yet (what a surprise x'D), but what would be a goob "starter equip" and how should an "end game equip" look like?
I don't know much about the class, so if there is a good guide here in the forum, or a nice vid on yt, it would be nice to know :3
I guess the stats are Dex>Str. At least Dex as the main stat xD
If not, please correct me... ^^'

you may need a tank to keep the target busy so it won't chase after you, but with pet and/or mercenary that's not a problem.

in that case, there are a few more options besides bow+arrow ;)

6th anniversary weapon. the 1st form can farmed from lv25+ and is strong enough to last until lv90.
the stats may not all fit your build completely, but the overall power is still higher than lower-level equipment.

depends on your build and preferences. basically boss drops are the strongest, followed by NPC and player-crafted equipment.
event equipment is usually stronger than regular equipment of the same level, but sometimes the stats are just gimmicky.
the reason why player-crafted equipment is considered superior is because those "superior" items are crafted at the level cap while the latest NPC craft is ~30 levels lower.

and here are your build options for ranged classes:

    bow+arrow
easy and powerful. very high ailment chances and powerful skills. continuously gets better with higher levels.
Hunter Skills can be used, but not necessary. no survival assets besides long range, use light/heavy armour if needed.

    bow+katana
lower base attack but greatly increased survival with counter attacks. can also fight at shorter range.
allrounder samurai archer, combining the best of both worlds, but may be difficult due to complexity of playstyle.

    bowgun+arrow
inherently weaker than bow+arrow, but better suited for Hunter Skills.

    bowgun+ other sub weapon
specialise on using the sub weapon, since shot skills alone are not good enough to compete with other weapon skills.
since all atk for bowgun comes from DEX, you can fully utilise other stats for sub skills. this is the only advantage that bowguns have over bows.
(STR for dagger, VIT for shield, AGI for knuckles, INT for MD)

    main weapon +arrow
you can use shot skills, but with less skill power. although ailment chances are much higher than for bowgun.
you can use the traps from Hunter Skills, but they are only for utility.
playstyle and abilities depend on the main weapon.

Bow is considered as the easiest one to play, long-range, can easily achieve high damage, as for soloing its back to how you utilize your manual evasion these days. Read the pattern, zip there, zap there, shot shot shot.
We're on a period where everyone is changing their gears (thanks to the Anniv event and summer event), if you are really short in budget, you can try to get a fairly decent outdated weapon like maybe 5th Anniv weapons or Dark Empress weapons, they might be outdated, but they should be way cheaper and still give a good output. Not the best for the long run, but good enough to use for you to grind more in short term and get more income to get a better weapon for your long-term plan.
As for the bow, yep. It's not only because of the base atk you can get but also the current main damage dealer skill of bow (Cross Fire) is scaling with your DEX. Can also be STR>DEX for more critical damage, but overkilling on single damage modifier (crit dmg) might not always be a good idea.
There is another option, dual sword. But, I don't really recommend it as you just returned to the game. The build is pricey to maximize, really good survivability, being flashy and kirito-like is fun to play.

So... I think i might have decided to play Bowtana.
The Katana playstyle alone doesn't chatch me, but the bowtana one, looks funny as hell :D
I found a guide on YT. I know i can't even nearly get any of her/his equip, but if i level up and get some gear, it should help me to get some better ways of making some spina :D

So for the Anniv Bow (BS Crafted) i need those medal, i think i get them i the Anniv event (?)

Also... What are some ways to make spina nowadays. As i quitted, these Nightmare Crystal (If i remember right), sold fast. But i'm not a storm mage anymore x'D

Also i found some old Xtal on my old account. Lalvada and Chocolate Ooze II. Are those Crystas anything worth?
(I think i used them on my mage, back then x'D)
