Dagger build

Are there any suggestions for a dagger build?
I have a character built right now at level 37.
Stats are approximate from what I can remember, since I can't get on the game right now, so don't freak out if something is off by a bit.

Stat points are all put into dexterity.
Main Hand weapon: Hunter's Bowgun (Dodge +2 xtal)
Sub-weapon: Dagger
Armor: Light custom Forest Wolf Garb (Boss version) No slot yet.
Head armor: Butterfly Ribbon (Dodge +2 xtal)
Special equipment: Sofys Talisman: (Dodge +2) xtal

I'm working on collecting boss xtals to attach to my armor, I could use some suggestions for those too.
(Thinking Fw xtal)

Skill points:

Battle skills:
Level 5 defence up
Level 10 evasion up

Dagger Skills:
Level 10 Throwing Knife
Level 10 Spike Dart
Level 10 Gatling Knife
Level 1 Poison Dagger (Skill doesn't seem worth it)
Level 5 Double Knife
Level 10 Hidden Arm
Level 7 Intense Knife

Shot skills:
No points invested.

So far with this build, I see incredible amounts of dps, and good survivability. Part of it has to do with the fact that a level 10 throwing knife takes no mana to use. You can spam throwing knife, then auto attack with the Bowgun over and over to chain tons of damage. Adding in the hidden arm, occasional hidden knife, spike dart, and gatling knife, as well as the high crits and good evasion chance increases the damage and survivability even more. The only thing I find lacking is gaining mp quickly. (Maybe I should get a roar xtal?).

Hits so far are easily 800 normal and 1.5k crits with the bowgun, 200 normal and 400 crits with throwing knife, 100 normal and 180 crits on spike dart (Total around 1k-2k damage), and easy 500-600 per hit (around 5k) on Gatling knife.

I wondered if anyone has any suggestions on xtals, different stats or skills, or if this build is even worth using in comparison to other builds?

 

First of all, I think you're at the wrong section.
Bowguns go to hunter's section.

Firstly: I have never been on the forums before, this is my first post ever, I don't know where things go yet.
Secondly: I saw his build, and did not agree with it. I want my build to be mostly daggers, not mostly shot skills.

 

I made a dagger build with a sword as main and dagger as side. atm it is lvl 42, and I have found many of the same things you have, like good survivability and damage. However, in my hand the sword offers better solo capabilities and more flexibility in combat. My build can break, do a better rate of dps because of bd sword's increased atk spd,and survive a good long while because of all the evade... using a faster sword also partially fixes the problem of low mp regain (even my build requires an eerie xtal for easy combo spam)
If u ever wanna see my build tested (maybe against yours?) I am willing to boss anywhere, anytime

 

So, uhmmm what made you think that bowguns should be at warriors dicussion?

Anyway, I'm not good with bgs but from what I hear is that bowguns+dagger consumes alot of mp. So yes for mp xtals/mauez xtals(extra crit rate).
BG+dagg have good dps. IMO, just focus on critrate (esp. War bowgun with +12critrate) and choose either aspd or mp pool (I'd suggest mp pool cos aspd/ ampr is too expensive).
If you're thinking I have a point then soon enough you'll understand what makoi's build is about.

Edit: You may also want to get Player Crafted armor for additional crit rate+cdmg stat.

 

I posted it here because it is a discussion thread about a possible sword or bowgun and dagger build, not about a specific one. I just shared my bowgun build because it's the one I have, and I wanted opinions on if a bowgun or sword is better.

Anyway, I see what you mean, but I don't need aspd when I have the throwing knife and then bowgun attack, since I can already continuously attack using that.

 

lol, I agree with continuous attacking... I personally am a fan of smited dagger throw, but it can be slow at times, with the whole underhand/overhand atk pattern when used with bowgun... I suppose if u want less damage so that u can run and gun the boss, your build would work really well... but instead of adding some extra knife dmg, I maxed out hard hit and astute, and tossed them in a combo with dagger throw and spike shot to cripple and stun the boss long enough for me to regain mp and combo again
