dancer skill on rank...?

is some dancer skill like spirited dance and charming dance counted on support or breaker rank?

ow, i thought it counted on breaker too. i heard that giving bad status like fear counted on breaker rank since dancer skill is reducing the monster stat like stability.

 

Nope they're support skills! From my understanding, gaining breaker ranks requires you to inflict a skill aliment on the boss (stun, flinch, tumble, ect) which none of the dancer skills does

 

Breaker rank is entirely proration based. skill effects have absolutely no effect on it.

 

Ah really?! Guess people keep telling me the wrong thing in game, while doing boss runs when I was still a newbie I would ask what makes a breaker rank and they told me this. A few players did actually

Rank breaker = normal attack ?

 

step1: when aggro is on the tank(s), do normal attack on boss.
step2: when boss aggro switches over to non-tanks, use some ailment skills to help people escape while the tank work on regaining aggro.
step3:repeat from step 1.

 

Breaker rank count number of hit you done during the match, includes:
• All normal/physical/magical hits. Ex: tenryu hits 4 times per attack, it is counted as 4 instead of 1
• Tapping during boss break, which is always required another hit of flinch/stumble/stun
• Damage over time from skill like decoy. Ignite and poison ailment is not sure for me

Support rank count on the MP cost of skill that bring party-buff or single-buff (must be able to cast on your team). First-aid count separately. Skill of certain ailment like slow, lethargy, paralysis and blind also gives support, but not based on the MP cost of skill.

No, both doesn't have anything to do with breaker rank, it's entirely proration based, the reason why tanks could also easily get breaker rank is because of the auto attacks balancing out the proration. An impact>meteor break 2h also have a high chance of getting breaker rank, a tenryu user that do 1 auto per tenryu also have high chance of getting breaker rank.

 

multi-hit skills still count as 1 for proration.
only dual swords auto-attack counts as 2.

no. just no.

Decoy uses the neutral proration multiplier for it's damage calculation, but it does not prorate. therefore it doesn't affect the breaker rank either.
poison and ignite is completely independent of proration and has no effect on breaker rank.

ailments do not affect the support rank in any way. it just counts the number of support skills used, and some skills score more points than others.
